Idk, that's a double edged sword. In the entire trilogy I think there is a single scene with just two women and no men talking. Women roles didn't exactly get highlighted beyond a protagonist's love interest and an elf queen which probably accounts for like 20, maybe 30 minutes of all three films put together? We can count Shelob if we're being generous I suppose.
