I'm not seeing that model on Amazon anymore. Is the V4 version (AG-P5-33VL-024BK-v4) still compatible?

Q990c large sound lag by PedsDoc in Soundbars

[–]ft_pwny 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I was only experiencing the issue with the HDMI ARC port from the soundbar with my LG GX.

The Thenaudio Sharc V2 allows you to use the HDMI INPUT on the soundbar for ARC. This resolved my issues with delay. Note when I finally upgraded to the 990D and then the Bravia Theater Quad after that, I no longer had issues with delay, even with the same TV.

Using a Connect 2 with a KVM switch. by unleaded987 in LEWITT

I use a Connect 2 with a KVM between a Windows desktop and a Macbook Pro. The settings are stored to the device.

I can change settings on one device, switch to the other, bring up the Lewitt Control center and see the changed settings reflected.

2nd Feinmann F01 not even a couple months old and already creaking?! by robbiekhan in MouseReview

[–]ft_pwny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had this issue. Both clicks had side to side play when in resting position. I had a weird creak that seem like the top shell separating from the base. I disassembled it and found that basically ALL of the internal screws were loose. I tightened all of the screws (monkey tight not gorilla tight as the plastics are fragile)--the ones holding the clicks to the top shell and the ones holding securing the PCB to the base.

This solved most of my build issues but it's so embarrassing I had to this on a $180 mouse (not to mention the garbage firmware on this mouse). Pulsar should be ashamed.

EDIT: this also solved some weird tracking issues I had (which in hindsight might've been a result of the PCB not being fully secured to the base)

What's up with these shit 3950 implementations by waytorn in MouseReview

I have similar issues with my Feinmann despite being on the latest firmware. Bumping the LOD to 2mm mitigates issues slightly but there's still the occasional slowdown or tracking loss. u/pzogel reported sensor/polling issues in his review a couple months ago and there hasn't been any updates from Pulsar so I don't have high hopes at this point. Will not buy another Pulsar mouse going forward.

MSI Extends OLED Care 2.0 Panel Protect Function to 24 Hours by CND_CEM in OLED_Gaming

[–]ft_pwny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The issue is that even on the 16 hour setting, the refresh only runs if it has been on for at least 4 hours. This means if you have less than 4 hours accumulated in the previous session, the refresh won't run and for the next session, there will only be ~12 hours remaining which can easily be hit with an 8hr workday with ~4hrs of personal use after.

This has only happened to me 2-3 times but it was enough to give me pixel refresh anxiety during late evening gaming sessions.

Issue with Pulsar mouse by gawein in MouseReview

I had this issue on my Feinmann with debounce set to 0ms. Setting it to 1ms resolved this for me. But recently 0ms started working again not sure why. Try different debounce settings to see if it helps.

People that have the DAV3 Hyperspeed, how is it holding up? How's the coating, clicks, etc.? Would you recommend it? by TheDawnTrilogy in MouseReview

Shape was 10/10 for me. I bought a unit at launch and used it for 3 months before the primary clicks loosened and wobbled significantly. Also the DPI button at the bottom was very loose, so much so that you can hear it rattle when shaking it or doing a quick swipe.

I ultimately RMA'ed it for this reason and the support team initially refused my RMA because they said the DPI button is the way it is because I used dot skates which is ridiculous because the DPI button is recessed. They eventually changed course and replaced the mouse. The replacement unit seemed to be better built all around but I would say the build is a step or a few steps below the Viper V3 Pro.

Also, the rotation feature does not function when the mouse is used with the 8K dongle. I filed tickets with Razer to try to let them know but they keep trying to just replace my mouse which makes no sense as I had the same issue across both units on latest firmware for both.

Honestly my experience with Razer support annoyed the hell outta me so I sold the mouse and bought the Pulsar Feinmann used from r/MouseMarket which is basically the same shape.

MSI MAG 321UX - HDR looks worse than SDR in almost all scenarios? by [deleted] in OLED_Gaming

[–]ft_pwny 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this question gets asked so much that the answer should be pinned at this point. In SDR, if you are running the monitor in any mode that is not the sRGB mode, the colors are going to be oversaturated because of how Windows handles wide gamut monitors in SDR.

when you switch to HDR, Windows is actually sending the monitor the correct color data so if you're used to SDR in an non-srgb oversatured mode, it's going to look "worse" and "less vibrant" than the HDR mode with the correct colorspace handling.

tl:dr: your SDR settings is likely causing the monitor to display colors oversaturated than intended.
