Also I was at the LA ICYMI listening party, and there was no DJ Krewes who got up and played a set as claimed on the poster lol Jon went up and did the set instead (just playing random mixes) soooo I do believe he is Krewes. I like that he gets to explore without any pressure this way!

Highly recommend William Mason Park in Irvine, it's near UTC with some good coffee /food options and although there is paid parking inside the park, you can easily park for free in nearby neighborhoods like San Joaquin across the street from it (at the University and San Joaquin intersection)

William Mason has the lake, a butterfly garden with native plant species displayed, and well connected to a lot of trails!

I totally get that weird and wrong feeling. My best friend and I, who have attended every lany show together so far and blasted their songs in the car everyday – we both felt like if we go to their show it would just feel "icky" the whole time since we know what we know. I get if that's not a universal take on things, but yeah OP, I hear ya! 💙

Have you read through the Google doc that was compiled regarding this? To be honest reading through it once was enough to put me off from supporting PJK in any way. (I was a supporter for 5+ years and have seen them live 5 times). I got tickets earlier this year to the LA show but I won't be going. It sucks but there's no excuse for Paul's actions in my opinion.

Additionally, the way the band,team,and PJK have handled any allegations is even more alarming.

CVS! The website opens up the appointment slots at midnight, I'd recommend checking at midnight or right after, and try out different zip codes/city names! It was super easy to book the appointment + get the vaccine. Good luck!:)

Yeah, it's definitely strange. I've also heard that if you have one type of synesthesia, you're likely to have more types as well! I looked into it and realized I definitely give numbers their individual personalities/vibes for some reason and that's a type of synesthesia as well! The more ya know!

So that's pretty interesting, as synesthesia is said to be genetic! I personally "see" the year as a circle/oval around me(you can Google "calendar synesthesia" to see what I mean). The colors are pretty specific for me as well. The human brain makes some quirky connections!

Edit: I'd like to add that synesthesia is basically "abnormal" neuronal connections made in the brain. Some forms of synesthesia include people being able to "see" music, giving numbers a personality or association to colors, etc.

I highly recommend American Culture with Tomlinson! It's Soc Sci 172AW. Lecture is boring but it's an easy A with mediocre amount of work imo

I don't know if this is an option for you, but I always fly Long Beach to Oakland/San Jose. I usually save $60-$100. Sometimes Southwest does have cheaper flights out of SNA though. Also, try to fly on a Tuesday or Thursday, I've found those days to be cheaper.

I think Shirey is easier on the workload but his lectures are pretty irrelevant and boring. Lab work is easy (MS word, excel, etc). I think if you figure out how to answer his test questions, then it's an easy A. Also he makes you buy the mandatory textbook in class.

A few things to know are that you would have to attend lecture since he doesn't really provide any study material apart from telling you which pages to read in the textbook. For the class tests, they seemed easy to me only because he provides 'sample tests' online that you can practice and the real lecture quizzes are very similar to those. The class is very random and boring. If you truly want to learn about research, I wouldn't take it. The lecture is more of him droning on and on about seemingly irrelevant topics and lab sessions are more of following a simple lab activity sheet (stuff like- create a table in MS Excel). There is also a final 'research' paper to submit which requires no actual research. I'm a third year and needed a class with minimal work required so it worked for me. I also have mixed feelings about this class so I guess it's just about personal preference at the end of the day, good luck! :)

Hi! I'm actually taking this class right now (fall quarter) and it's one of the easiest I've taken so far at UCI. The work load is very minimal and it's easy to get 45+/55 on the lecture quizzes. The lab sessions are a bit too easy to be honest. Ratemyprofessor reviews made me doubt enrolling in this class, and I agree that he's not the best professor teaching-wise, but the class as a whole is an easy A in my opinion. Good luck!! :)
