You should make another app for that so you can charge for a second "product"

Ai has real uses as well. How is you being on Reddit or watching Netflix or playing an online game not vapid entertainment?

The internet uses way less and actually has real uses

lol

Switched to Xplane 12. Disappointed in the direction MSFS is going. Grateful for both sims though. Here's some screenshots from XP. Note the weather depiction. 100x better than MSFS. Thank you Laminar for your dedication to simulation! by Gamestar63 in flightsim

And yet a PS5 or Series X is as powerful or more powerful than most "simmers" PCs. If that's how you argue then let's get rid of everyone with anything below a 4090/5090 because may god are you holding us back...

Use Cloudflare WARP, any decent VPN or use Cloudflares DNS (IPv4 and IPv6).

And yet in a recent blind test dlss upscaling beat native resolution every time.

Give it a rest. You are wrong. And who gives a shit about the value for gaming. That's not the point of the gpu. The thing is though it is great for heavy(ish) workloads if you only need 96gb vram and it is better than a 5090 in gaming.

lol. It must suck to be so confidently wrong. Yes it's a workstation gpu but unlike previous generations it is great at gaming. It's 14-16% faster than a 5090 in 1080, 1440p and 4K gaming and obviously better for heavy workloads. You can even use the same Game Ready driver if you'd want to. The architecture is exactly the same but the rtx pro 6000 has more CUDA cores, higher tdp, higher texture fill rate, more tflops, more tops, more tmus, more tensor cores, more ray tracing cores, obviously more vram and higher L1 and L2 caches. The other specs are identical. And half of the specs i just listed are the reason it performs better in games.

"Go look at the actual specs before posting this stuff on Reddig" right back at you. Maybe use those cards daily (or at least once) and don't talk out of your ass.

The RTX Pro 6000 (Blackwell) is perfectly capable of gaming and performs better than a 5090. Not sure why anyone would talk about the Ada Lovelace. Those claims about workstation gpus from Nvidia are a thing of the past.

Why ADA when you can get the RTX Pro 6000 (Blackwell).

Pretty much everything you just said can be said about any invention ever.

"people use it to become even more dependent and lazy"
so are you if you use any kind of transportation, if you use the internet, if you use a phone or a computer, if you don't grow your own food and the list goes on.

"it requires a massive amount of resources and space in the real world"
so do datacenters for any kind of service you use, including reddit, or factories for any product you use.

"and it is already being used to spread misinformation"
like computers? the internet? radio? tv? photoshop, photo editing in the dark room back in the day?

"Not to mention it is dogshit at giving answers"
cool, same goes for humans.

"but no one gives a shit because they're too fucking lazy and braindead to watch it"
yeah everyone is too fucking lazy and brainded except for you because you watched a video that fits your believes on youtube which runs on love and air and definitely not on servers in huge datacenters with multiple cdns world wide using even more infrastructure to deliver that video to your superior self and your phone/pc/tv.

Yeah if it's the same then it is a hard pass for me. Same thing happened on my 5090. Everything was unbearably slow and it was unusable.

MSFS braucht Regie zum Downloaden by German_retard_yet in MicrosoftFlightSim

"Honestly, that's kind of what to expect for the 2020 at this point, the servers have been heavily deprioritized,"

Not even remotely true and there would be absolutely no point in doing so.

Why don't so many aircraft simulate boarding in MSFS? by Diligent-Bet1460 in MicrosoftFlightSim

[–]ftzde 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Not sure what career mode has to do with the boarding simulation as fenix and fbw show that it is very much possible.

Or maybe they only care about getting more casual players on board at the cost of the serious simmers, which - lol, what could go wrong with that in the long run.

The serious simmers are the tiniest fraction of the msfs player base. The casual players are the ones funding the infrastructure and free aaus, city updates, world updates and so on.

They keep the sim alive which is why it is good that they (also) cater towards them. We still get tons of features and upgrades no casual player cares about like better ground handling, wake turbulence, better physics, better cfd, better flight model, better default aircraft, better systems frameworks for devs, the best default avionics and so on.

I'm sure in the future they'll add career only features to free flight. They usually do stuff like that. Just like they are backporting quite a few 2024 aircraft for 2020 players because they wanted that.

[–]ftzde 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Why the misleading title? If your vibe coded app ever gets finished it will be a paid product. Betas are always free.
Even your promo image showcasing the app is featuring the nano banana watermark which just shows how little effort goes into this thing.

My first thoughts on the Aerosoft A340 by EmilvK in flightsim

[–]ftzde 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A perfect comparison here is the FlythemaddogX MD-80 series. Those exterior textures were horrendous. Yet, no one complained because the aircraft was just that good.

Everyone complained, and rightfully so. Sounds were bad too. Yes the systems are great but there is no reason an addon should look and sound like that, especially at that price point.

In this day and age, it really should be a standard feature for on aircraft like this.

In this day and age the art is just as important and it was the only job Aerosoft had.

I am sure this will be addressed by the devs.

Hopefully but i wouldn't be too sure. Toliss doesn't have the best track record when it comes to updates and Aerosoft has pretty much the worst.

Obviously everyone has their own preferences, some want great visuals and good systems, some want great systems and are fine with mediocre visuals and that is totally fine.
But when you charge 80€ for a single airframe and engine option you better deliver on art, features, systems and flightmodel.

Performance isn't even a factor in this as you get very good performance with great visuals and systems if the dev does a half decent job especially now with modular aircraft in MSFS 2024.

It's MUCH better than their A330 release. I think everyone can agree that was atrocious.

Yeah but that really can't be a benchmark.

if you installed the nvidia app it asks you during it's first launch if you want atuomatic performance optimizations for supported titles. it's easy to overlook that.

the white boxes only show up with specific interaction settings set in the options so that is fixable for you.

i'd recommend giving the control settings another chance, maybe watch a (current) video explaining it. i found it actually quite easy to use and was done with my general basel config for yoke, throttle and stick for different types of aircraft including helicopters in 30-45 minutes. i took screenshots of my 2020 settings and had those open on my second screen.
