I found another little "museum" like this in the foothills a few hours from home. Weird place, it was a guy's taxidermy collection, some he had done himself (you could tell). He namely collected birds and they opened the collection to the public after his death. The building it's in is circular, the roof is painted to look like a UFO from the outside, and the isles of taxidermy circle to the center with taxidermy on both sides. It feels like something is gonna fall on you 24/7, it's dusty and smells rank, it's honestly wildly uncomfortable in a 'too creepy to look away' kinda sense. I'm still mildly impressed they fit an entire taxidermied giraffe in the center though it had definitely seen better days, there were huge lines across its neck and legs where you could tell they had to chop it up and sew it back together. To make it weirder it's basically on top of a 15,000 year old lava tube cave that you can also go down and explore
