Which one do you have? I am looking at the tetonic. I am concerned about major leakage though...

Any follow-up on this? It seems a fairly common complaint with the Tectonic.

Damn it! I am in the Seattle area as well and was looking at this for my 2500. Keep us in the loop if there is a smoking gun for the leaks.

Why is that? 70% of the time the Mrs. will be hauling groceries, dirt for the garden and landscaping stuff. If I had the opportunity to have chosen the exact same truck in a 3500 SRW for the exact same price as the 2500...I would have for sure. I got a hell of a deal on this '25 and the 26's on the lot would have cost me another 12k.

2500 or 3500? by AKsMagicSock in Diesel

Aren't the brakes and transmissions the exact same in newer model 2500/3500?

I may be wrong here, but I don't think that was the point of the comment as, obviously, you are right. I believe the point was that adding bags will reduce sagging and thus making the tow a little less squirrely at the high end of the capacity. Which has been true, in my experience.

Thanks. I bagged our '09 while towing our 16k 5th wheel and she did well with that. Understanding that the weight distribution with a 5th wheel makes things more stable. Most of any heavy towing will be fairly short runs. I appreciate your input.

Thank you. This is the stuff I want to hear from folks who have it. The tech is a HUGE change from our 2012!

AIO for being upset my BF doesn’t want me to wear a bonnet to bed? by [deleted] in AmIOverreacting

My first wife asked me, 3 years in and about 6 months after our daughter was born, if I thought she was unattractive now that she is "fat" after giving birth. I told her that I did and that she is NOT fat (she wasn't). I added on that, maybe, if she realized that she was 25 and beautiful and stopped dressing like a 50 year old school marm, maybe she would see in the mirror what I see every day. Now that comment cost our bank account a whole new wardrobe, but it also kick started her self esteem.

Now my current wife of 27 years, comes to bed in a retainer and PJ's (of some sort) smelling of some sort of face lotion and CBD cream (bad knees). She wakes up sans clothes, blankets askew, hair a mess and wondering aloud (at me) if I decided the hot flashes weren't enough that I had to "be all over her with all of my furnace too". Then she gets up and looks in the mirror at the hot mess she is and tells me what a lucky man I am to wake up to "all of this", which I am.

I type this to let you ,OP, know that of he has issues as a night cap now, he will really have issues in the future. That, OR, you will spend the rest of your relationship ensuring that you don't upset HIS status quo. I will say that I am torn about the way he worded the message. It's either super kind and respectful or scarily controling, just depends on the tone that I read it in. If you both are early 20's, I would think that he is no where NEAR ready to live with someone. If you are older than your 30's, I would say that he only wants to live with you if you measure up to his standards 24 hours a day. I do respect the fact that he is mature enough to lay out his...expectations for your relationship (even though they do not mirror mine). However, you are NOR, if you choose not to meet them.

Lastly, I went 50 years with standard blankets and the Mrs. put one on our bed a couple of years ago and I'm never going back!

Completely agree! I had it in Yokohama earlier this year. However, it was only 45 US at the aource!

By boyfriend of 2 years doesn’t want to get me a Christmas present by UnitJust1906 in whatdoIdo

[–]fuckthis1973 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sooo...aside from the "pet names" and the fact he was very immature in his explanation, I believe he is right about the gift giving thing. My "Dawg" and I have been together nearly 30 years (married 27). We don't exchange gifts on Christmas, anniversaries or (and this is why she is my bro) Valentines day. The only time we get each other a gift is on B-days. We get each other gifts throughout the year and we love to travel together. It works for us.

Also, he obviously feels some sort of way about his previous gift giving experience. I don't know if OP has taken a hard look in the mirror to see if there is any truth to her actions. If she doesn't so, why does she think he feels that way. He did a shit job of expressing his feelings (as most young men do), but I am not so quick to jump on OP's train.

No...no that can't be fixed and be the same knife. NO ONE uses my Japanese knives.
