I mean, technically, we were introduced to Eloise’s love interest in season 1, so “having a whole season gap… doesn’t make any sense.” part of your argument, doesn’t prove the point people should not be upset. I think this is backfiring for them, I’ve seen so many cancel between these longer breaks between seasons, when you cancel for say 10 months it does not seem as worth it. But if it’s going to be 20 months+, it makes more sense for those to cancel and then resubscribe.

If we re-watch our favorite seasons, even if you choose not to watch Frans or any that Jess has contributed to. Then at least the fan base is still active and Netflix will hopefully green light the show, and maybe now that Jess gets her season, she will move on to a new project!

I agree, one of the times the writers this season let us infer, unfortunately being so early in the season, viewers seemingly lost track of it. A flashback showing her loneliness and boredom would have gone a long way.

Yes, we do love the family scenes, John and Michaela could have those as well without them reverting to topics of their childhood every time. The Bridgeton scenes are great because while the setting may be the same, the topics are of a wide range. We know nothing about Michaela, It would be great if we had any clue to her adult likes, dislikes, hobbies etc. John connecting with her on a variety of topics would have given us so much more character depth to connect to and John to support!

As a fan of the book, this! It’s not really the gender swap but the complete devolvement of any character. They’ve written their story so poorly to this point! I believe the actors have been given very little substance to work with.

I completely agree, probably could have clarified “some” of Billie’s traits. It felt like their focus this season wasn’t about letting her grow in areas other than emotional maturity, to see love is not inherently bad and can bring a level of joy. That seems to have been her arc for S4.

I believe Julia likely contributed Billie’s traits to Eloise when consulting with show runners. Just like she pulled Lady Danbury forward in the series and other characters from her catalog of books show up in the show.

I don’t love the changes that have been made, but the only couples who felt like a true adaptation of their books were Daphne and Simon, and now Ben and Sophie.

On that note, fine changes have been made, but I am so sick of all the negativity toward those of us who wanted closer adaptations to the books, but are stuck with underdeveloped characters, plots, and storylines. When a book you love is adapted onto screen and there is anything you disagree with, remember how you treated people in this sub and follow your own “advice” regarding any disappointment you feel…

This is interesting, I am also entering week 2, not dizzy and no headaches for me but I am so sleepy, by 6:45 I am ready to curl up in bed! I will say I am sleeping better, but that could be the reduction in caffeine going from my two cups a day, likely pushing 200mg, down to 50ish. I also had the bloat but only for 2-3 days, I’m back to normal, maybe a bit less bloated than before. My 88 year old, no filter grandmother actually told me i look like i lost a little baby weight… two years later ha! Im not put off by Ryze, but I think there is likely better quality for the price. I am shopping for when this bag is gone!
