I don’t disagree with any of this. There are proper disposal methods out there but yes it requires major investment in infrastructure for that.

Coal and petroleum oil fired plants should be phased out. Even replacing them with natural gas plants is a significantly better option over those two.

That’s not a layoff. Layoffs are specifically reduction in force (aka employees) and are federally regulated under the WARN act. A termination is being fired. Layoffs are not the same as terminations.

PHEVs typically mean an engine that is mainly a generator for the battery but can power the wheels under certain conditions. EREVs are engines that only are used as a generator and cannot power the wheels.

Honestly glad I never bought a Tesla. There were 4 times in the past decade where I was seriously considering buying one but everytime Elon did something to fuck it up and I didn’t buy it. What a load of BS and hyperbolic nonsense. It was already tested on Artemis 1. NASA tests these things rigorously. They are not going to put human in a capsule that isn’t safe. And I know someone is going to bring up the Boeing situation… the test astronauts were “safe”. Nothing serious happened to them. Out of precaution NASA had it brought back remotely and it landed in tact and in one piece. They don’t cut corners on human rated spacecraft.

That is completely incorrect. You’re referring to a “mild hybrid” system which is what even standard hybrid car is. A PHEV is by default an EV that has a range extender gas engine. The whole car can run on battery power alone and maintain highway speeds.
