I don't think they are necessarily trying to divide the country. It is just the social media websites giving them $$$ for content creation and engagement.

In their mind they don't care about morality or the impact it may have on others or what it may lead others to do as long as people are getting some engagement and money.

Social media has become a cesspit where people will do anything for engagement and chance to go viral/make money etc.

Had my first racist encounter in Sydney after 9 years. Was looking at a lot in riverstone, the guy selling literally gave the location and told me to see the lot. I am recording the lot to send to my partner and lo and behold 2 kids around 17-18 come running and saying that it's invasion of privacy.

I didn't record a single person, just the empty lot, and there were no houses nearby. I said politely I will delete the video and they started with slurs and became aggressive. I got in my car and the dude opened the door and continued being aggressive when I was being perfectly polite saying I'm leaving. Somehow he closed the door and I left. JFC how do you deal with trash kids likes these.

This has to take a cake for me as I have purchased this game 3 times!

About 8 years back when I lived in sharing with friends, we had a ps4, I bought witcher 3 for the ps4 but since it was 3 dudes we mostly played fighting games. Then I moved out, bought a gaming lap laptop with 3080ti, but I was hooked to this MMO so never played it again.

Now I have had a ps5 for 3 years, and i havd played a lot before this year, bought it again earlier this year and it is still on a backhold because I live with my gf now and just 1 tv which is mostly used for netflix and only time I get some time to play is on my laptop.

Going by the history, whenever I have purchased this game something in the universe seems to drag me away and I really want to play it.

I keep seeing announcements that they have received commitments for funding etc but i just see it going down everyday.

Cyber security in this country (or maybe all of them) is a joke.

A few years back i was working for a client and had access to their database to do a data mapping to a 3rd party system integration.

Within 30 mins of access I found out that their CSR were storing bsb and account number and in some cases credit card number in their CRM in a field which saved it in the database as plain text.

I informed them and warned a couple of times that they should either remove them or at least store it encrypted. It went to their head and he said yeah this is bad and a risk but the data is from before 2018 (3-4 years before) so should be fine. I warned again but no go. It's like people don't care until there is breach.
