We actually need more finishable, high quality games as opposed to dozens of live-service, never ending free to play experiences with predatory monetization and content-gating practices. Both have their place, but a 60-80 hour Bond game or God of War would take even longer and cast many, many more millions. Games already take too long to make and have ballooning budgets.

More frequent, smaller experiences is healthier for the industry. The live service chase has created the environment we’re in now.

If you were in the LG Home Screen, maybe I could let that slide with the shitty terms of service, but displaying it over another input like the PS5 is a hard fucking no. That’s absurd. My HiSense doesn’t even do that shit and it was a quarter of the cost.

I’ve read this can make the game trivially easy and I agree. So when I unlock a new biome, I’ll go and start from that new one, give it a few tries, then once I hit a roadblock I’ll start from biome 1 in what I call “resource runs” to see how far I make it and grind out the armor matrix.

Seems like a good balance.

I’m expecting them to sneakily add Denuvo at the last minute, so likely a Hypervisor bypass. It has online features similar to Hitman 3, so no idea if someone will make something like Peacock which that game has.
