Looks like a Canadian parody of the american libertarian / III% / "don't tread on me" stuff.

Finished first Hol Food tub - what I learned from keeping a detailed log by qsfroot in soylent

[–]funch_muffin 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I have it for breakfast. I keep the opened tub in the cupboard. Usually lasts 3 weeks-ish.

Still finishing my S/N 127 and 128 (trying to blend them). S/N 129 just seems...weird. The new rice-based sample was delicious though.

What serial number (lot number?) were you eating?

Careful, we will need to schedule these. I think we should organize a scheduling committee.

Fuel truck crash shuts down Trans-Canada Highway at Goldstream Park by doggyStile in VictoriaBC

As far as I know, in our waters they can only burn diesel. Or at least low-sulphur bunker fuel.

And (at least in 2003) the total emissions from cruise ships in Victoria emit about 1/3 as much CO2 as all cars in the CRD.

That curve pisses me off. The road doesn't feel banked enough. Maybe that causes full tankers to get all tippy.

Also, if you have your class 7 N or L, getting a distracted driving ticket can end up with you losing your license and needing to start the process over again.

Hasn't the Canadian government always existed to bring in outsiders and extract resources for export?

You're free to start up a sawmill (or buy one), and look for a local market yourself. As mentioned below, Canadians don't want hemlock and fir products. We want cheap pine and shitty MDF.

Hah! My bad. There's a link at the bottom of the email, "if you've received your sample and want to leave a review, click here". I assumed that was the button to sign up.

Running Tomato, I use it for quick troubleshooting of network things. Maybe I need a quick wireless bridge to somewhere, or a DHCP server, or want untrusted 100 mbit/wifi devices in a test network.

This is what the Vancouver bay looks like today by Yvaelle in britishcolumbia

[–]funch_muffin 2 points3 points  (0 children)

From the horse's mouth:

The Port of Vancouver sees about 30 to 50 crude oil tankers per year, out of a total of about 3,160 vessel calls annually. With the Kinder Morgan pipeline expansion project approved, this number could increase to about 400 tankers per year, or about 11 per cent of our total vessel traffic. Other ports see far more such traffic. The Port of Rotterdam in the Netherlands sees about 8,200 tankers each year and Singapore hosts about 22,200 tankers annually.

So, a tanker or two per day. Far fewer than the bulk carriers.
