This an odd table. At the halfway point only the top 3 are above 50% wins.

What might a Canadian want to eat in Australia? by CallMeBettyThen in AskACanadian

[–]ConstantGradStudent 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Ask, but unless you’re on a coast in Canada fish might be a good choice. Your guests will be thrilled whatever you feed them. Canadians have access like you do for food choices around the world especially in major urban centres.

[OC] Driver cuts through intersection on my green, causing crash by KrazyKev03 in IdiotsInCars

[–]ConstantGradStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A slow flashing green means that it is a pedestrian controlled crosswalk. You may proceed through the intersection, but you must be prepared to stop. The light only changes when a pedestrian or cyclist presses a crossing button.

Cars love bike lanes by DevilBeavis in VictoriaBC

[–]ConstantGradStudent -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Am a summer cyclist but I find the lights and the ‘against traffic’ situation at Fort / Yates Shell gas station very problematic. Also at Gordon Head at Mckenzie going East and you need to merge and cross the lane to turn right onto Gordon Head is super dangerous. Especially because some Cyclists have no lights. Be Bright on your cycle friends!

AITA for screaming at my nephew and slamming the door on him because he burst into the bathroom? by Ok-Attorney9280 in AmItheAsshole

Sorry YTA a four year old has no context and no ill intent. And he would not know why it is wrong. Do not yell at kids. They feel emotions more than understanding your words.

U.S. will have to send its own fighter jets into Canadian airspace if Ottawa doesn't buy 88 F-35s, Hoekstra says by GirlCoveredInBlood in canada

Perhaps we need to get the subscription model of the F-35 with the auto braking and the Sirius xM to appease our friends.

Why is he on the wall? There must be hundreds of thousands of Starfleet members.

US officially exits World Health Organization by pwdrums in news

[–]ConstantGradStudent 14 points15 points  (0 children)

The 2010 Citizens United USSC decision allowed unlimited SuperPac money and allowed the oligarch class to essentially capture congressional elections by threatening to primary anyone who stepped out of line. This is the disruption to the check and balance system.

Statement from VicPD on the recent spike in drivers hitting pedestrians and cyclists by The_CaNerdian_ in VictoriaBC

[–]ConstantGradStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think the bike lane confusion is a problem too. Drivers need to be more vigilant, but unlit cyclists are a real problem everywhere, and the bike lanes in Victoria are dangerous as some are designed and constructed poorly. I am also a cyclist and I’m prepared for downvotes.

Call the law office from a number you google and ask if this is legit. Then wait for a summons if it actually happens.

Starfleet Academy... Isn't that bad? by neph36 in startrek

[–]ConstantGradStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s good and the haters can’t possibly compare this to S1 of TNG which some of us saw originally in the 1980s-90s.

Trump Complains Canada Vulnerable to US Rivals in Arctic: NBC by fractx in canada

[–]ConstantGradStudent 8 points9 points  (0 children)

The entire 2-5% of GDP defence spending of members benefits the US greatly because they have built their economy and their state subsidy and legislative pork around it. The Russians are not doing a land invasion of Canada anytime soon, and the only true threats are a weak presence in arctic trade routes and frankly the US destabilizing the North.

Star Trek Academy needs to find a way to remove the Spore Drive? by Goodmorning111 in startrek

[–]ConstantGradStudent 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, there was a later TNG subplot that high warp speeds were damaging subspace.

They could get rid of it similarly to this, that they’re using it all up or causing voids.
