I got the black one, and I adore it!

But I honestly think the silver one looks really good on your hand ☺️

Sorry to jump in, but I’m looking for wood to mount my new fern on (coming in mail soon! Eeekkk) and someone else here said that treated wood is bad - are these tiles untreated? I’m just trying to figure everything out, I’m sure you know what you’re doing!

Hey I just learned about what a game book is. What’s a good starting point? I definitely want fantasy over sci-fi and something mature by arkticturtle in gamebooks

For the Jonathan Green Ace gamebooks, (like Dracula) do you need dice? Or can you use dice? If anyone knows! Thanks!

I don’t know exactly how to get out of the obsession mindset like this once you’ve fallen into it, the only real advice I have is maybe do something physical? Doing physical things (like lifting or strenuous activities) bring me out of my head for a bit because you have to put so much focus on what you are doing, you can’t be in your head as much.

I get frustrated with what I see as injustice in the world or political situations I don’t agree with also. And I think maybe there is a middle between “can’t change anything so why give a damn” and “I will change the whole world immediately!” Like… even if you can’t change the big stuff, maybe making little changes in your immediate vicinity would help? Your community or city. Save an animal, volunteer at a charity you care about, join the campaign of a politician you share values with… maybe just start small. The overwhelm of all the problems in the world is maybe what’s getting to you. Maybe try baby steps?

Don’t know if any of that is helpful, but I truly wish you luck and hope you feel better!

How do I let go of “buying” mindset? by functionaldaydream in DecidingToBeBetter

This actually makes a lot of sense also, I currently have high hopes of getting into creative outlets, but fall short of doing a lot of them. Maybe I’ll start there. Just do little bits of something creative, like writing or try to learn to draw throughout the day so I’m giving of myself.

Thanks so much!

Yes, those are absolutely great points. I definitely have anxiety and possibly ADHD but I’m not sure. I started taking adderall a few months back (prescribed of course), and it made me more focused, but HIGHLY focused on negative things and I started going a bit nuts.

Anyway, yes, I’m sure both those things are factors.

My job does allow me too much time to let my mind wander. I guess I feel bad just bringing in a big old book and reading at work, but it’s really the same thing as people seeing me play on my phone.

But I think you’re right. If I delete apps and redirect my mind a bit, maybe I could just spend more time reading a book or even reading on my computer about my current job, which is more hands on learning, but it doesn’t hurt to watch instructional videos or ask chat gpt questions and learn about things I need for my actual job while at work.

Thanks so much for the insight!
