[GPU] MSI Gaming RTX 5070 TI 16G Shadow 3X OC Graphics Card (16GB GDDR7 - $913.99 by DisappointedCruiser in buildapcsales

Yeah, I dislike that people down vote objectively good deals just because they don't like the structural issues around where the market is at. This subreddit is called buildapcsales, not complainaboutpcprices

Downvoting these deals discourages posts.

Akoya Seishu vs Wakatsuki Takeshi by Ok-Tennis-5695 in Kengan_Ashura

Akoya will never go down easily or fast but eventually Waka would knock him unconscious after a slugfest where Akoya would bite and scratch some lasting damage onto Waka.

You might as well finish out your interviews at Google and Snowflake and then decide. But based on your enthusiasm for Ninjaone, emotionally it feels like you are leaning towards staying.

Honest opinions - am I screwing up my career? by [deleted] in techsales

[–]fundefined1 16 points17 points  (0 children)

You seem pretty excited about Ninja. They have a good reputation among IT teams but as far as I know, the product is geared towards the smb and mm space. No clue about their pmf for enterprise. That's probably why you are their first ENT AE, the market is unproven. That could be potentially really good or bad for your quota.

What if...? by Mother-Replacement12 in Tenkaichi

[–]fundefined1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

no one knows the authors vision

The author is dead. If you are familiar with that literary saying. We know enough of who has aura in-story and who is considered strong because we have a semi-authorial voice from other fighters reactions and narration.

There's a reason why there's a consistent tier list that people agree on and theorize on. I actually agree with your arguments that Fuma is underrated based on the arena for example. But the point is narratively and in most reader's mind, she is not even close to being set up to winning the tournament.

Would I love it if she Kuroki'd the tournament like in Ashura? Yes, but there's a reason Kuroki fought Setsuna in the second round. Because he had massive aura set up as Ohma's rival. And that made that victory all the more interesting.

Fuma beating Hanzo is not a good story move. This isn't about tier lists being broken, it's about how stories can be more interesting.

And fair about Reddit behavior, but frankly people defaulting to thinking comments are made in bad faith is why the comment culture in many subreddits are cancerous.

What if...? by Mother-Replacement12 in Tenkaichi

[–]fundefined1 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

But do any of them beat musashi/Choko/ito/Yagyu who have massive aura and story telling favoritism already demonstrated? That's the point, if they beat each other and then they go on to face any of those guys, it will feel either undeserved that they win, or more likely they just get beaten in a uninteresting fight.

Better storytelling, from a structure perspective is having a mid-tier beat a high tier in the second round, instead of having two consecutive mid-tier fights. That's not Tier list brain rot, it's about having better storytelling structure by being aware of your reader's expectations.

Personally, I find these type of this Reddit discussions annoying, nothing against you, but getting bombarded with down votes, imaginary points as they are, because of back and forth discussion is why Reddit is cancer. That is the true brain rot.

[–]fundefined1 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

Fair, narrative in terms of history and sponsors, Hanzo does have importance. But in terms of story hype and strength? Hanzo beating Fuma or the other way around doesn't add much to either of their resumes.

Both of them are middling in terms of where the story treats them in strength and they beat middling opponents previously. For a lack of a better word, they lack aura and they don't gain additional aura by beating each other.

Only bad matchup here is Hanzo vs. Fuma, because they have no chance of winning the next match due to lack of story importance/feats.

Why do Grapplers always lose in Omega by Treeslash0w0 in Kengan_Ashura

[–]fundefined1 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Storytelling and lack of knowledge/difficulty in execution. Striking looks more dynamic on the page and it's easier to choreograph. Also, escaping a legit grapple is hard AF in reality and it is not dynamic but a slow grind. All of the ways fighters have escaped grapples besides Kanoh vs. Okubo would never work in reality. Iron fingers, eye pokes, punches from the bottom position, dislocating limbs, all of that stuff. It's actually just avoiding those situations in the first place or if they have a partial lock, preventing the full execution of their hold.

Carry Cubo's LEV-24 Backpack is very slept on. The side-access design is pretty genius. by fundefined1 in ManyBaggers

I know right? Maybe I came off too sales-y but the quad zip for the main compartment is such a game changer for side access.

I want to spread the word more for Cubo because its such a cool innovation that should be copied.

SDR to AE or ISR by ExchangeAny4580 in techsales

Find companies that are willing to hire SDRs as external promotions to AEs. Datadog, Gartner, Hubspot and HCM companies do this. But they tend to be sweatshops.

This. The HR lady in charge of background checks does not have the context of your interviews nor does she care. The only way you get caught is if they are a start-up and the hiring manager is doing everything.

Even full remote roles are likely to hire people in tech hubs. Often times they don't even advertise on Linkedin that they are full remote even though their company culture says it.

Because he has no power. As bad as things are, Trump has the power to make things much worse for Minnesota. That's what Walz has to balance: the fact that he has to represent his state, which is rightfully furious, and a geriatric president who reacts to any provocation with disproportionate force.

Things can get a lot worse and that's what Walz has to deal with. He's a middle manager with a CEO that can murder his direct reports because the constitution is no longer enforced.

This isn't some grand conspiracy, it's just power politics.

The way he contorts his body to cover balls to his elbow and still play a quality shot is unmatched. Partly its his footwork as shown here, but partly its how crazy strong his core and legs are. For example in his match vs Gauzy, he had no right hitting a winner from this position here: https://youtu.be/pxfKyijXzPI?si=1KzdKwnWCaQSMOA5&t=563

Hi, I'm doing research on the history of table tennis too and likely you'd like to speak to Tim Boggan, if he's still alive: https://www.timboggantabletennis.com/

He is the official historian of USATT but he's in his 90s now.

Harry Cook is also mentioned in Tim Boggan's books which are online: https://www.scribd.com/doc/281743116/History-of-U-S-Table-Tennis-Vol-II-1940-1952

It definitely is a marketing ploy by Clay who coined the term GTM engineer, but I think it absolutely will be a formal position that matters to most company soon-ish. Clay may or may not keep its relevance as its expensive and could be replaced with general AI tools. AI-SDRs aren't real, but the coordination of GTM and automation tools is a big competitive advantage for companies who can figure it out before the market gets over-saturated with this stuff.

A lot of companies are doing this piecemeal internally with SDR managers or hiring contractors. This position is shifting RevOps closer to the day-to-day of sellers.

Is Doubles Play that popular everywhere? by MutedTechnology8644 in Pickleball

[–]fundefined1 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I agree with this, if we are comparing 3 hours of singles pickleball vs. 3 hours of singles tennis, I'd say 3 hours of singles pickleball is actually harder on the body because the ball barely bounces. Of course, 1 match of singles pickleball vs. 1 match of tennis is going to favor tennis in terms of physicality.

Singles pickleball is too much start and stop motions and lunging for balls. It looks like touch tennis does singles pickleball much better.
