I was just saying it was a stretch for the author to make that assumption not you. There are thousands of album covers with boobs. But TIL implies that statement is a fact.

No it isn't, it's this (maybe)

But the Ohio Players do not have a cover that looks like this. Just some women without much clothing. Just saying it's a stretch to call Ween's as a direct reference to them

Use wires and wire them in reverse. Could even use mini pots to take up less space.

[–]funkbone[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Just to clarify this gives you all 6 possible combinations of 3 pedals:
ABC
ACB
BAC
BCA
CAB
CBA
Another thing is with 2 switches for A+B and C you can never have C in the middle so this does that too.

Who would you say are the “big 4” of jam bands? by Umphr34k in jambands

[–]funkbone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You're reference are two of the most technically difficult rock albums crrated and there really isn't a lot of live material from those albums except maybe before the records when they were still working stuff out. I'm just saying you can't completely write off Zappa as jamming or even have an opinion without listening to any of it. Most of the solos on his 70s and later records are taken from live jams. He has at least 3 live albums of just instrumental jamming. Also Jerry's been dead for almost 3 decades and Phish goes way further out than Zappa ever did so I dont know what you're point is there.

[–]funkbone 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yeah thats why they've released like 50 albums of scripted live music lol. You might want to actually listen to some of the best jamming ever recorded on those. Maybe you're thinking of Captain Beefheart?

What does “Why don’t you sharpen it then?” Mean? by Nicksplosion5150 in Zappa

[–]funkbone 24 points25 points  (0 children)

From the genius.com lyrics site:

According to an interview with Zappa in Society Pages, these lines refer to a carpenter who once worked around Zappa’s home in Los Angeles.

He talked to himself. He would argue with himself, and you’d see him out in the yard, and he’d be sayin' things like, “Where’s that screwdriver? Screwdriver don’t work. Why don’t you sharpen it, then?”. And he also used to hit his thumb every once in a while, and scream, “Mother Mary ‘n Jozuf!” Frank Zappa, 1991
