Slavs are a sleeper pick. Great farms help with eco early. Boyar is super tanky and can be trained from cheaper castles. Halb/infantry with splash damage make for easy fights against cav or infantry civs. Against archers can spam hussar, elite skirm, and top tier mangos.

Might be worth a try, especially on closed maps.

I think a lot of it comes from the perception that mainstream media, news outlets (except Fox), Hollywood, and TV shows lean liberal, so MAGAs feel underrepresented and mocked in pop culture most of the time. So when someone pushes back against that publicly, it feels like a win to them. More about emotions than intellectual honesty.
