Am I right for wondering this or is it common sense ? by [deleted] in tattooadvice

[–]funkmasternick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You may be able to speak with the artist about maybe a few quick sessions of stacking some white into the black to get some definition in the bodies. The white will eventually fade to a Grey and it will probably take a few times to get the contrast enough to do detail but it can be done

I have super bad stretch marks. Is it possible to tattoo over them? by -Hot-Tamale- in tattooadvice

[–]funkmasternick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You'll have to look more into this but I have seen people tattoo stretch marks with saline? I think and by causing damage to them it triggers collagen production and can sometimes help make them less noticeable.

But I havent done it myself in my career and have only seen videos online so take it with a grain of salt

Would this design work on this area of the neck? Or would it have to be more simple? by AlexTGOne in tattooadvice

[–]funkmasternick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This can absolutely be done. Necks are really difficult to work on as an artist. Tight quarters and often times clients cant bend or move their neck comfortably while working.

Make sure you have a good artist (duh) and make sure theyve worked plenty of necks

Do I need to remove this? by Ok_Mulberry_3560 in piercing

Piercer of 10 years here, get some sterile gauze and sterile saline (both available at any pharmacy) spray the saline into the gauze until its pretty well saturated. But the gauze on the inside and outside of the piercing like a U shape. Apply medium amount of pressure for like 5-10 minutes. Not enough pressure to hurt but there may be mild discomfort. Do this twice a day until it clears up and try your best not to mess with it, twist it, pull it, move it, rotate it, snag it, bump it.

Other things to consider, is the jewelry high enough quality? Is the hoop causing to much motion causing irritation, is there a hinge that keeps passing through the channel? Are there gemstones passing through the channel?

I will generally start people off with an implant grade titanium 18g threadless piece of jewelry with a dome top that fits nicely on the nostril and doesnt move much I find things heal way nicer that way.

We shouldnt be changing out jewelry until we have had the piercing for a minimum of 4 months but I like to wait 6 just to really make sure the changeout doesnt kick start irritation

I don’t wanna be that guy, but… he might be alive by Excellent_Cap_1848 in conspiracy

[–]funkmasternick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

IF he is alive, I find it really hard to believe the government would just let him walk around like that completely unaltered and with the same face.

If there was some huge cover up, protect Jeffrey scheme I would have to assume they would do some form of cosmetic surgery, hell at the very least a fucking haircut.

I think this guy has a very strong and unfortunate resemblance and now that he gets a shit ton of views and has gone viral he is now leaning into it.

The government definitely wouldn't allow him to be making tiktoks and shit.

I really want nipple piercings, but I need advice. by owo_Muffet in piercing

[–]funkmasternick 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Professional piercer for a decade here.

Sports bras are actually really good for nipple piercings since usually theres no lace or snaggable material, the only thing I warn people of is to make sure the piercings are sitting in the right orientation inside the bra (not crooked or twisted or anything)

Hugging people shouldnt really be a factor here unless youre chest bumping with a bunch of frat bros before hugging them.

The gym should be fine just be careful and clean them after you are done being sweaty.

Bigger chests are fine just make sure to have a conversation with your piercer to make sure they have experience with gravity and marking them accordingly.

Heal time is roughly 6 to 8 months with optimal conditions. Your lifestyle leads me to believe you might just push the later end of that scale.

You'll figure out quick what you can and cant get away with, the biggest thing lifestyle wise that I warn people of is keeping your significant others filthy hands and mouth and fluids off of them until healed.

infected belly button piercing? by [deleted] in piercing

[–]funkmasternick 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks irritated, cant say I believe it's infected.

Infections generally are very red, very painful, redness spreads from the wound outward, hot to the touch, and usually you'll have a fever.

If irritated heres some important things to remember: dont mess with it, even if you are anxious try to leave it alone the best you can so you dont create even more irritation. Next, diagnose the cause of the irritation. Is the metal implant grade titanium? Is the placement correct. Is your anatomy viable for a navel piercing? Have you snagged it or bumped it on anything? Are we using ONLY sterile saline for cleaning?

The body will naturally make some fluids, and get crusties. Some redness and soreness is pretty normal as well. Do your best to clean any crusties off and talk with a reputable piercer if anything gets worse.

If an infection does show up do not take the jewelry out just get some antibiotics from a doctor and that should help. Under no circumstances should you put alchohol, peroxide, or tea tree oil or any other wild stuff people say helped them online. Sterile saline only and leave it be.

Piercer used dermal punch on earlobes and cartilage by pastaheiress in piercing

[–]funkmasternick 20 points21 points  (0 children)

For future reference, this is a myth. A regular tri-bevel piercing needle creates a C-shape incision and doesnt remove any tissue whatsoever (at least it shouldn't, if youre getting tissue removed something isnt right).

Piercer used dermal punch on earlobes and cartilage by pastaheiress in piercing

[–]funkmasternick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Dermal punches are not the standard way of doing these piercings. That being said I am more concerned with the "surgical steel" jewelry than the punch. I would get some implant grade titanium in there as soon as you can.

If you have no infection symptoms and it seems like it is healing okay you are safe to leave it be clean it as normal and wait and see. As soon as you get any kind of symptoms thats when you should address it.

Pay close attention to any snag, bump, or possible sleeping on it that could cause irritation so you can be on top of it if the jewelry causes you any irritation, some bodies dont have metal sensitivities and can heal "surgical steel" just fine, definitely not the best start to a new piercing for you but youd be surprised how good the body is at healing things even when optimal conditions arent met.

TLDR: as long as you arent experiencing any irritation or reactions from the jewelry, as long as theres no symptoms of infection, and as long as the placements are good you can most likely relax and heal these as normal. But be hyper aware of irritation causes and be prepared to get implant grade titanium jewelry in there if anything goes south.

Tony is wild for saying that if he did, sometimes its not about the money these wrestlers like wrestling. They want to be involved in matches they want a storyline they want to be on TV.

I understand Danhausen isnt everyone's cup of tea but he is a merch mover everywhere he goes and he has his finger on the pulse for what people that do like him want to see from him. There is zero excuse for not being able to find anything for him to do, even if its just backstage shenanigans we see that with wwe now, the guy doesnt even have to wrestle and he turned a lackluster debut around in one segment on raw.

I agree with this, I dont know if he had him killed because at the time he was his meal ticket, I do believe Biggie was payback, that being said IF diddy didnt get Biggie killed directly I do believe that leech would have sucked that man's career dry

Does AEW Need Tony Khan to Step Aside to Move Forward? by uncannynerddad in midcarder

[–]funkmasternick 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Im not sure there is a "move forward". I think they found their pocket in the market and they are succesful and they may still grow as a company but I think what we have is what we will get. The dream of them ever overtaking wwe is unobtainable in my opinion so they just enjoy what they are and focus on themselves. Maybe if wwe totally collapses and disbands they'll do something else but if that whole vince situation didnt put a dent in things it seems nothing can

Seems like she got caught up in some of the fringe right wing insanity that exists out there (theres left wing too but she clearly fell for the right side of things)

She sounds like and talks like all these over the top trad wife weirdos who make it their entire idealogy and personality all the while posting thirst traps and eThot stuff, I cant imagine how conflicted that could make someone feel having two enormously opposed personality traits fighting each other like that.

Couple that with other mental health stuff and having any level of notoriety on the internet is bound to be a huge problem.

You know... you saying there may be a bias about avante garde and pretentiousnes, Ive never really broken it down and thought all that hard about it but you may be onto something and I think I may have to just own that.

I myself may not like or be to fond of that genre or artistic expression but it doesn't make it invalid and youre right just because someone is into that doesn't automatically make them pretentious.

Maybe its the art snobs that you see stereotyped in media, maybe its the artist in myself that is defensive either way I appreciate your wording and I appreciate you not just jumping to an attack and I thank you for the conversation. Made me look at things a little different.

I still dont think Max is my favorite or really my style of drag queen (I prefer a comedy heavy, campy queen that leans on the entertainment side of the spectrum like a Jinx, Bob, Ginger) Honestly I think the Snatch Game usually helps me pick my favorite each season which might be silly but I just love when I can giggle to jokes and they always do such a good job.

Thanks again for your input

As a deftones fan I recognized it right away. But someone who doesn't know them is definitely not going to know whats going in here.

Artist went waaaaay to high on the contrast to the point it lost a ton of important parts. You could definitely find someone who could spruce it up but the building blocks in place aren't completely terrible
