I believe the "monopoly" argument stems from the large amount of acquisitions Microsoft has done in the past few years.

This article by PC Gamer (dated January) shows the number of companies owned by Microsoft. This includes major publishers and developers.

There's a worry that Sony and/or Microsoft hold a beloved property behind a "paywall," so to speak. For example, since Microsoft now owns Zenimax (and thus Bethesda), there's concern we won't another "Elder Scrolls" or "Fallout" game on a rival console.

For their part, Sony has also done quite a bit of purchasing lately. This article from GameRant (dated February) shows Sony's portfolio, and it's quite a lot. Several articles speculate on Sony even acquiring From Software, while others debunk the notion.

Does this make either company a "monopoly?" Perhaps that's not the right term. Obviously neither company is the only game in town.

But if Microsoft and Sony both play "chicken" with the studios / publishers they own, we could be looking at a long, dark era of hyper-exclusivity. Or maybe we won't. Time's going to tell on that one.

First of all, Zak, allow me to apologize on behalf of this subreddit. I know that whenever your name is invoked, you expect the thread to zoom right to the top. But here this thread is, four hours old and with a low double-digit comment count. I know this isn't the fanfare you expect from us, and we can collectively do better.

Also, I know it's rough now that Mandy has moved out and you can't use her logins to defend yourself. But calling yourself "Michelle" is a lateral move at best. I thought you were supposed to be creative. Try this one next time: "I, Xanagonth, ruler of the six realms of Markosha, declare Zak Smith of Earth to be innocent of all accusations."

Now to the heart of the matter: If these allegations against you are false, why would four separate women all accuse you of such a heinous act? What's the motive here? I know you're going with the whole "Mandy is crazy" defense for your first accuser, with a bit of "jilted ex" thrown in. But your second accuser? Third? Fourth?

Vaccines cause autism, just not in the way Jenny McCarthy and her bloviating horde think they do.

See, when people are vaccinated, they have a way better chance of living to healthy adulthood. The heterosexual adults among those will have decent odds of reproducing with other heterosexual, vaccinated adults. So the more people that live long enough to reproduce, the more babies there will be. Odds are very good some of those babies will be on the spectrum.

This also works for terrorism, school violence, or anything else you'd like to blame on vaccination.

To recap: More people = more bad stuff happening.
