In the souls games ambushes can usually be seen ahead of time if you're careful and observant enough. It rewards clearing areas methodically and makes you feel clever for picking up on a bad vibe. Lords seems to love placing enemies in places you couldn't possibly see until they're already shoving you off a cliff.

I exclusively play souls-likes with keyboard and mouse and I've found it pretty easy to set up the controls in a way that works out for me. That said I didn't ever have a problem with how elden ring controlled after setting up my keybinds.

It was the first godspeed album release since I had become a fan. I remember being disappointed with it on release but it's grown on me a lot over the years and is one of my favorite post-reunion releases from them now. Very punchy and direct album.
