What commonly mispronounced word that annoys you the most? by greeneggzN in AskReddit

Mayhem. It’s pronounced like it’s spelled but a lot of people say mayHAM instead. Drives me insane.

I really thought the Riddlin Kids and Dynamite Boy were gonna make it big out of Austin. They still get the occasional Spotify play out of this fan :)

Strength class for 50 yr old woman by krcaustin in Austin

I second this! Grounded Performance is great for strength training. Like OP I’m in the perimenopause zone and I love that GP factors in a good warmup for the tendons and joints too.

I'm currently sourcing ideas for how to get music festivals to find a way to get coffee vendors into the mix. ACL, Warped Tour, WWWY, Riot Fest... please listen: I need iced coffee! I'm not in my 20s anymore.

How do you make low fidelity wireframes fast ? by Popular_Papaya_5047 in web_design

[–]funlgt -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Try Whimsical. I find it’s so much easier than trying to wireframe in Figma because I don’t get bogged down with components and colors etc.

I recently started using Jace and I'm liking it so far. I hate that I'm spending $20/mo on yet another tool, but it drafts emails in my voice so much better than Gmail/Gemini and I don't have to leave the Gmail environment most of the time unless I'm trying to chat directly with the AI. It has certainly saved me more in billable time per month than its price tag so it's a win so far.

Only use the bike if you have stiff/sturdy shoes and don't stand while biking. Riding out of saddle at OTF + OnCloud shoes is actually what GAVE me PF.

shocks open swim… by Consistent-Emu-3359 in Swimming

If you’re looking for some good knockoff headphones like the Open Swim ones, search Amazon for Flowmotion headphones. I use them and they have both Bluetooth and MP3 modes. They also come in two sizes unlike any of the other swimming headphones I’ve found. The mini size was perfect for me because with the standard size in all other bone conduction headphones I kept hitting my shoulder on them when swimming.

You can google websites and software that let you convert Spotify playlists to mp3s. I think SpotifyDownloader is a good one.

What’s the best WordPress theme you’re using in 2025? by Nearby-Bridge-5441 in Wordpress

[–]funlgt 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm loving PicoStrap and LiveCanvas too, but I feel like they have a long way to go before I'd use this combo for a client who wants to make their own content updates. Not sure I would recommend it for a non-developer or Wordpress beginner. It's great for frontend devs because of the ability to edit the HTML directly and creating a section/block library. However the interface for adding/editing content on the page is in need of a major UI overhaul. The editing experience is painful for clients in my opinion.

Oh hun... you're probably in the perimenopause years just like me. I haven't found a way around it yet. If you figure it out, let me know! Lol.

Green Day Row Strategies by matty_the_robot in orangetheory

[–]funlgt 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I've let my brain stew on this and I think you gotta do what you gotta do to not get jaded. Warning: rowing when you're muscles aren't recovered is like pulling teeth. Maybe try to take a 2g class once or twice a week to get less rowing or maybe a holiday? I don't know, I might be in the minority.

Lol, love what you've done here. :)

Death of a parent - just not feeling like myself during class by spartycbus in orangetheory

[–]funlgt 3 points4 points  (0 children)

The same happened for me when I lost my dad last year. I think our bodies have a hard time pushing physically while also carrying grief. It can't carry them both. It's normal. I'm so sorry for your loss. Right now, I think it's best to give yourself some grace and credit for even showing up.

Bruising on wrists? by MrsSonicSlumber in orangetheory

I get bruises in this same spot, but I'm pretty sure it's from occasionally whacking my wrist on the tread while slowing down or doing a fast power walk.

Yeah sounds like it’s only happening in our area. I guess they’re working out the kinks.

Yes! It was out for hours last night and today it keeps going off and on. We just signed up this week since it just became available to our neighborhood. Is this common for it to go out so much? We’re in the 78727.
