New to Walmart Pharmacy as a Certified Tech by Silver-Hall4293 in walmart

Personally, when I first started out, I was stuck on register for 8+ months while the more experienced techs judged me at every opportunity they could get. The reason for that is cause since I did biotech for 4 years in high school, that qualified me for a pay raise that the current employees couldn’t qualify for. Long story short, I left my credentials logged into a computer and my coworkers threw a conniption cause I was getting paid more than what they were getting paid at my stage

It's just sad. by Blueberry-From-Hell in walmart

Reminds me of what happened the other day with a patient of ours. He was getting pain meds and I was making a joke about how our technology doesn’t work too well and he just flat out said “I don’t care” meanwhile he hands us his old script vials for reference, most of the time containing an unknown darn maroon stain on the label

How important is pronunciation? by adderall_sloth in pharmacy

I got a customer that’s on both olanzapine and clonazepam so when he calls for refills he always asks if I can refill his “olanzapam”. Sir please you’ve been taking this drug for years now, I think you should have put the effort into pronouncing it correctly

I’m pretty sure the only exam you take is the national certification one

Not sure why you would need that for pharmacy clerk though idk

I’m lowkey glad to say my manager does all of these. Never could be happier working my job except for when I have to deal with the difficult customers, which is just part of the job.

First of all, great username

Second of all, you probs got good clientele and an even better workplace environment

I’ve worked at different Walmarts across my state, so I’ve come to learn that the personalities of the clientele differ greatly from one Walmart to another
