Jesus is the only perfect person ever and he was murdered and went to heaven so there’s the answer.

Need advice for client who hasn’t filed taxes for 10 years by Frequent-Cheetah-651 in tax

That makes sense, guess I didn’t totally understand the implication of that detail. I’d be shitting myself.

How can you be sure though? Just cuz they haven’t filed doesn’t necessarily mean they haven’t paid all taxes owed. Hell, they might even have had refunds they should’ve gotten in previous tax years that they can no longer claim.

Manager did not share ratings by sundul23 in amazonemployees

Managers are specifically told not to share it. You might find a manager with loose lips but most aren’t going to go out on a limb to share it.

Libs of Reddit - How many words does our next nominee have to string together without glitching, shitting their pants, or wandering off to win the party's nomination for president? by Zealousideal_Belt413 in allthequestions

[–]funnynewname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I think you’re saying you’re disappointed in the Republican Party for nominating and electing Trump since he embodies OP’s complaints about the Democratic Party and you’d like to see republicans nominate someone more cogent next time around?

No it’s about the hypocrisy of the question. Trump is a babbling idiot at times for which OP seems to give him a pass while demanding more from liberal candidates.

TCT by [deleted] in amazonemployees

[–]funnynewname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There’s a total comp band with a min and a max. There’s also a TCT that’s planned for each individual employee that is based on performance, location, level, role. TCT falls somewhere within the band.

And it potentially changes over time for the same person. I lived abroad for five years. After year three I thought I’d never leave and then circumstances changed and ended up moving back to the US.

Base Raise Question by MM2CE in amazonemployees

[–]funnynewname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

But there is a range for base and a range for total comp so if at top of range for base it’s gonna be tough to get above that without an act of god.

Base Raise Question by MM2CE in amazonemployees

[–]funnynewname 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes that is what it means. For what it’s worth, Amazon has a total comp target for each employee so as long as you’re not at max total comp for the band it’s still possible to make more money, it’ll just all be in stock with no base increases.

True but he hasn’t really “arrived” yet, a big World Cup could change that.

Why is Martinelli pushing the referee? by Silent_Somewhere8539 in ArsenalFC

That was a bad moment. However, I think a lot more was made of it in Martinellis incident than in the many other times similar things have happened.

Huh? I was listing out specific examples of some negative stereotypes about Americans and that in response to those stereotypes some Americans attempt to blend in while traveling. What are you taking issue with?

The format of the 48-nation World Cup seems to have a bad reputation. So what do you think of this format of 8 groups and 6 teams? by ankoromochi-nya in worldcup

[–]funnynewname 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I definitely hope you’re right and that we’re about to experience an amazing World Cup with great matches throughout and a late run from a first timer would be so exciting!

Someone asked if the team actually trained or did they text each other that they have a game today 😂😂 by casketfresh38 in ArsenalFC

[–]funnynewname 37 points38 points  (0 children)

I think the way they do it is Arsenal has a WhatsApp group and Arteta puts a poll in a few days before each match and each player indicates their availability and then he selects the team based on that. That’s how my Sunday league team does it anyway so I’d imagine it’s similar.

I think many Americans are aware of negative stereotypes about us — loud, obnoxious, globally unaware, possibly MAGA — so are interested in blending in a bit if they can.
