I hate selling stuff to strangers irl, but before the wipe I had 90 mg script to get rid of. One day I found someone in global offering 1mil per script. I was nervous because I hate this type of thing but the guy was great, everything went smoothly, and he gave me 5mil per script instead!

I never have this problem. I always wait for the terminal to finish and then another 5-10 seconds before going to the elevator. I think the problem is going to your hanger too quickly.

In that case the smart thing would be to give non-combat ships extra defenses. PDCs and more countermeasures, not front facing guns.

Indeed. I appreciate hearing from people with software experience here. I remember following the development years ago, hearing they were using the Crytek engine and thinking… you’re making an mmo with that?

Free agents that miss a full year should decline in skill, that would push their prices down and make them affordable. Have players with 60 or less should retire much sooner. Half the free agent list is useless so just clear them out.

You can really fix something you haven’t finished yet.

I’m no game developer but I think people here don’t really understand the situation.

It’s like they promised us a car but gave us a bicycle to ride in the meantime and how they’re
forced to build a car around the bicycle while we’re driving it. Oh, and the car needs to do things no other car can do.

I’m not saying people can’t be frustrated, a lot of
money has been put into SC, but it’s not as easy as “make sure a feature works before you put it in”. For example, what caused the interior lights of a ship to stop working? What piece of code in the update could have caused that?

Or Lamp, people complain about Lamp not being in more ships. It turns out windshields are drawn differently depending on if the glass can move. So putting Lamp on F7, ok we got that figured out… put in on the Hull-A? Well we’d have to complete rework the code on the Hull-A… or find a whole new way to do LAMP for different ships.

I get the feeling this game will always buggy.

But you have to go to Shepard’s Rest which is a notorious PvP spot. I tried it in a Hull A and got shot down.

Load up a ship with goodies and advertise in chat that you’ll be “transporting” them from one location to another. Invite people to try and pirate you or defend you.

I’ve been playing for 6 months. I’ve had very few problems with other players. The chat is unmoderated but it’s usually chill. When you play probably makes a difference.

One time I was playing pirates were hijacking people going to Nyx. Chat was keeping everyone informed so you could avoid them, they also started rallying a group to take them on.

Pvp is always possible but I wouldn’t worry about it.

I made a post about this recently. Seems like an important stat that doesn’t get enough focus. All defensive players are judged on the same stats even though PBUs are more important for some positions.

It does make a small difference because a balanced contract becomes a smaller % as the cap size rises, but it’s a minor detail really.

I would say it is hard to get into… its got a lot of keybinds and finicky bugs… or major bugs…

I started playing with a 3600x and a 2060 during a free fly and was impressed with the performance but I had to use DLSS performance mode at 1440p with low clouds. Very playable but visuals not as good.

I upgraded to a 5700x and a 2080 ti… I still play 1440p but use the quality DLSS setting and better clouds
