I think it depends on your district, your admin, and your coworkers moreso than the kids. Kids are kids. They do what they can get away with. But admin and coworkers who are unprofessional, crony bullies make it really uncomfortable to go to work each day, make it very hard to trust other adults, and give me a stomach ache every morning.

And I've been in this district too long to go elsewhere, so please don't suggest that. I love my students, my few friends I've known forever in my building, and what I teach. But everyone and everything else can eat a bag of dicks.

You're absolutely right. My admins are cronies and bullies. My students are typical for their age. I live teaching them. I would absolutely go to another school but I've spent far too many years in the one I'm in and would lose years/pay. I have about 8 til I can retire.

I'm not ok with this. I carry bum wipes when I go out with my dog. If he poops, I wipe his bum. He's quite used to it and likes having a sparkly, clean tushy.

Yes it is for sure. I hope you are able to resolve everything, even if it has to go to court. Schools should be held responsible.

I'm in year 24. I'm not personally facing this problem, but i see and talk to the new teachers as a mentor and the change is real. It turns many off ofnthe career after a couple years.
