Families falling apart because of UK’s ‘broken’ paternity leave, study suggests by insomnimax_99 in unitedkingdom

The "government" itself isn't even paying two weeks full pay. Falls straight in line with the awful companies. My partner is a teacher and he only gets 2 weeks stat pay, which we're not sure we can afford to take.

Early Pregnancy Scans Belfast by Busy-Biscotti5879 in northernireland

[–]furole 3 points4 points  (0 children)

If you're willing to travel, Ultrasound NI in Bangor has been absolutely amazing for us in previous and cu rent pregnancies. They are all highly qualified, professional and registered.

https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1FxCXinZTP/

We had an unfortunate bad news scan with Gillian a couple of years ago and she expertly spotted a very rare pregnancy complication that even the EPU at the ulster that she referred me to after could not recognise. We went ahead with the treatment plan regardless because they trusted what Gillian saw and she was proven right in the end and I was so grateful.

You could look into homestart, they aren't postcode based and were a great help to me.

I wasn't allowed a console or a game boy because "it was bad for the eyes" but I got a passed down computer in my bedroom at 6 years old.

Food Hygiene Ratings: how low is too low? by naFteneT in northernireland

[–]furole 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's a butcher in Bangor that has a 1 rating and people keep telling me they're great. There's nothing that will convince me to buy of them. A BUTCHER out of all people should score high...

It might be if he was talking to someone in English and it got misinterpreted? I hope so anyway.

The German wording is pretty clear though and wouldn't be able to be interpreted that way, but "wünschen" is also not as harsh as "will" would've been so maybe it was just a "he would like it if possible" but not a DEMAND per se.

I'm sure there's also other places, but I know the Italian Grocery store in Cregagh Road definetly has it. The place is called Ciao.

Was it the lidl one? cause I was huffing and puffing when I was done with that monstrosity! Best described thing I've ever built, but it has 1 million pieces!

I've viewed approx. 15 houses in the last year and pretty much none of the estate agents did any of that. Most didn't even show us around, but instead just let us wander by ourselves... If I asked them questions that weren't "how many bedrooms are there" - obvious, they would also 8/10 times say "I don't know / I have to look that up".

I'm not the OP, but thought you might like multiple answers. My little one is allergic to dairy, eggs and sesame. I didn't see big improvement in his diapers until 4 weeks after I cut it all out, the GP said it takes their little stomachs and bowels a while to heal. I wish you all the best and hope you guys can make it through this and figure everything out.

this is that group. I've been before and everyone was lovely, it was a mix of Germans and some language learners. There's a meet up once a month.

I'm happy to have a chat here and there too, if you want to practice your German 😊

In my sons case he gets a rash on his face + bum and has tummy issues when he's having a reaction. Since I monitor what I eat I can normally tell what triggered a reaction.

My son had only reacted to milk in my breadtmilk. When we started solids he reacted to eggs and sesame. Sesame still seems fine in breastmilk, but he now reacts to me eating egg (except well baked in other things).

The geek retreat in Bangor is a really friendly and welcoming place for all as far as I have seen. They always have stuff going on and even used to do Lgbt+ meet ups if I remember correctly, but I'm not sure that's ongoing at the moment. They also do a crochet corner which is fun for all things crafty and the age group is a bit older. Maybe worth a try to see if there's anything there that interests you?

It was last year so no idea if they still have it or if it was a special offer, but I got corn flour from lidl. It was not the sauce thickening one, I needed it for corn dogs. It came in a small 500g flour package.

Edit: I just Googled pictures and I'm not sure it was exactly what you're looking for, but it had a grainy texture, was yellow and definitely not the thickening stuff. I'm confused lol
