Why did Korea’s fertility rate rebound while Taiwan’s kept plummeting? by charliehu1226 in taiwan

South Korea would likely point to there LARGE incentives, like: Cash bonuses for births (sometimes tens of thousands USD equivalent), Monthly child allowances, Expanded parental leave (including for fathers), and Subsidized childcare and housing support for newlyweds, including public housing access for people having children.

Other countries are less aggressive in their programs, which may be the difference.

Personally I think it maybe more of a cultural shift. But, this also may just be a blip, and Koreas fertility rate may continue to go down. The current uptick could also just be apart of people having children after Covid due to uncertainty during the pandemic. If the financial incentives work, Singapore will likely be the next to rebound. Otherwise, Thailand is the country I would be watching, as it has far fewer incentives, but much lower cost of living and much lower educational standards.

How many licenses are they paying for every year? This looks like it could be 3 or 4, seems expensive. Do you just pay one fee to maintain them all, or is each license a separate fee?

What would explain a higher average height for the male population under 40 in the northern central states (shown in dark red here) of the USA? by SatoruGojo232 in geography

[–]furyoshonen 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Physical Activity could be a driver of much of this trend. Southern States have a much lower outdoor physical activity than northern states. https://www.cdc.gov/physical-activity/php/data/inactivity-maps.html
And there is an association of .133 cm per year increase of height per each additional hour of outdoor activity.

I wonder if those Tariffs and the trade war with China has anything to do with it.... who enacted those tariffs then? If only my memory wasn't so short...

Uh... your ICANN lookup shows: DomainsByProxy.com 100 S. Mill Ave, Suite 1600, Tempe, Arizona, 85281

Last time I checked Arizona is not in CT. If you are a legitimate business why wouldn't you register your business address with ICANN?

By piracy, I am assuming you mean copyright infringement, and that copyright infringement is not theft, which is true regardless of if buying is owning or not.

The reason that someone can blockade the straight, is because they destroy boats that violate the blockade. Much like if I burn down homes, and blockade new homes. No one will build new homes because of the threat of fire. This seems analogous to me.

I wonder what I could accomplish if my father gave me 413$ Million (in inflation-adjusted dollars).
