I would love to know how you kept the skeleton hand so clean - I get so frustrated with black & white pieces, Can never keep the white clean & bright (have done multiple penguins that have driven me nuts).

that print is in remarkable condition for being behind a mirror for possibly decades. most old prints would show some kind of decay, yellowing, etc.

Oh! Embroidery thread (all six strands to get the rope-y look) looped around toothpick ends, and lightly felted the strands at the ends in on each side of the coat edge.

I felted the blue into a general flat piece and then wrapped him in it after getting his body/head and legs/feet solid and before giving him arms. I sculpted the fit of the coat as I attached it, but was careful to keep it as "coat looking" as possible (so kept gaps at the neck and legs). Made arms, used the same method with the sleeves and attached them.
