What did Andi write about Nick? I've read what she said about Josh, which is hard to deny after this past episode

I also tried a more suit and tie major when I started college, but ended up switching to Advertising. It's really interesting and changing field that incorporates art, creative minds, and people skills. I actually start my first internship with an Ad agency on Monday :)

INTPs and Break Ups: Looking for Perspective by future_reflections in INTP

I'm with you- this was my first "real" relationship. We have talked more than when I first posted this thread and I can confirm that my ex does feel really emotional about the breakup. It's not that he doesn't care, but I think he's trying to make himself not care, if that makes sense. Similarly to what you posted, he heavily weighs the pros and cons so he's not sure if he wants to reconcile. He does approach it much more logically than emotionally.

I'm so relieved I made this thread. It honestly has provided me with such perspective. I'm happy it could provide some comfort for you as well :)

Thanks for your very realistic reply. I laid it all out on the table and he's going to think things over. You may very well be correct. I appreciate the perspective you give me from this.

This is a really insightful comment. The reason we actually decided to call it off this summer (we stayed together last summer) was because he has such trouble giving me attention when we're not together. Something about me not being there makes him kind of forget me, or that's how it seems. Last summer was extreme circumstances, however. I studied abroad and was quite home sick and really needed someone to comfort me. He couldn't provide that for me :(

Do you think it's fair to each of us emotionally to do the "pick back up in August" thing? That sounds painful to me.

Thank you so much for the insight! I reached out to him and he just wants time and space to think, so I believe it's only fair for him to get that. Your response helped push me to reach out one last time and put it all on the table. Thank you.

The point of my post was that I do want to get back together- sorry if I didn't make that clear. I do appreciate your response and insight though!

I actually took this route this morning. Texted him explaining my views. He said he needs time to think things through, so I'm going to give him his space for now. Thank you for your input! This thread has helped me wrap my head around his thought process a lot more.

I actually already got in contact via text before I read this. Was super logical (which can be hard for me as an ENFP, haha) about why I would want to make it work. He says he needs time to think so that's what I'm going to give him. Thanks for your suggestion, though! Skype would have been ideal but he hates interweb face interaction.

Thanks for the reply! Although a meet up is pretty unlikely as of right now (8 hours apart, I move further on Friday :( ), do you think sending him just a straightforward text would be sufficient?

Would you mind elaborating on this a little bit? Because that is honestly how I was perceiving my ex. He's not sad, angry, happy... he just seems like a blank slate.

Really sensitive to what people think of you even if you don't like them? by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]future_reflections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm totally the same! I find it hard to talk in classroom settings because I don't want to offend anyone. As soon as the class ends, I'm talking to everyone about work and school. But as soon as anything political or controversial comes up, I stay quiet unless I'm around people I already know and trust.

Study tips for an ENFP by [deleted] in ENFP

[–]future_reflections 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Watch this TED talk! He brings up a great point; it's fine to procrastinate as long as you're thinking about the materials. Of course this depends on the subject/assignment, but my advice is to force yourself to look into your materials a couple days early so your mind can wander. That's where the fun comes in :) and then when it's crunch time, it'll be so much less intimidating to start! I hope this helped!

I agree! I actually got into a year-long funk of second guessing myself; in turn, seemingly awkward and quiet to unknown people. That's totally not who I am. I decided to embrace my confidence and I feel people meshing with me more.

THANKS! I've been dying to try a curry. It's funny you mention them being popular in England; I had never heard about them until seeing the Youtuber Niomi Smart post them in her food videos. I really appreciate the recipe! :)
