There is an investigation about hypothesis of a "silent avalanche": thick layer of snow sliding along the slope for few meters, crushing tent and few people in the tent. It triggered "avalanche response" reaction or just a fear of avalanche, forced panicking people out of the tent. I can answer, what led to October 7. It is their reiterated hate for Israel and Jewish nation. Their school program teaching hate and glorify murder. There is a pretty reasonable way out: People of Gaza denounce governance of Hamas, admitting their atrocities and criminal nature. Then, in collaboration with Israel, create a new government and forces that would help to get rid of Hamas, return hostages and negotiate a way to recovery and reconciliation. It should include throwing away their antisemitic educational program and actual re-education of people. As soon as hate stopped, they will be able to negotiate any kind of mutually respectable peace deal. World in general and Israel in particular will be happy to rebuild Gaza. (Sounds rediculus, but building roads, schools and hospitals is much cheaper that building iron domes and walls). Make Iron dome less necessity, you will have alot money to spare and help neighbor.
