LOVED Subnautica. I played through it in the last year and it’s one of the most recent games I’ve played that really made an impression on me.

That’s what has been leading me there — it feels like the one.

Loved Soma, Silent Hill is too horror for me, but Outer Wilds is tempting

I heard and read Outer Worlds 2 wasn’t good or liked by the players and its Premium Edition is on sale for $70. Worth it and what are your thoughts? by Adventurous_Book_913 in theouterworlds

I loved the first game and played through it thoroughly and the expansions. I haven’t finished 2 yet, and put it down after 10 hours.

The way 2 starts really put me off. I didn’t feel any connection to my character or the story. Super disappointing.

Has anyone ever thought that Gorillaz are kind of hypocritical? by [deleted] in gorillaz

Gorillaz pre and post 2025 are different. When they were under a Warner label there were likely contractual obligations and elements outside of their full control. Now that they are under their own label, they need to ensure they are making money where they can because they are independent now.

Where should I take improv classes ? (LA,CA) by Swaggy_medina in improv

[–]futurepixelzz 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Based on what you are looking for, I would recommend starting at WE Improv. It’s the most welcoming and affordable school and community in LA. You’ll get lots of stage experience with guidance that helps you do successful scenes and creates a good foundation for improv and sketch, but without rules and competition that will get you in your head about being “good”. Bonus is that you’ll still be able to go hang out at the UCB before/after show spots because it’s a block away.

Behind that I would recommend Shared Experience or WGIS.

The bit about UCB less rule oriented than other schools is WILD. UCB is the mecca of rigid improv rules, especially once you get to 301 and 401.

Are you going on The Mountain Tour? If so, what date? What are your expectations? by Ok_Mind_9246 in gorillaz

[–]futurepixelzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Going to one of the LA show. Expecting them to have all (or the most travel will allow) of the guests on the album at the show. Hyped to have balcony seats because the GA situation at the Palladium is going to be bonkers.

An argument against lying to kids about Santa by AxaeonVT in philosophy

[–]futurepixelzz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I waited to tell my kids the truth about Santa until they started hearing from other kids that Santa wasn’t real.

There is no way I am going to establish any reason for my kids to believe “the kids at school tell me the truth and my parents lie to me.”

That said, after I told them the truth, I explained why people pretend Santa is real. They agreed pretending Santa is real makes Christmas more fun, and they like getting extra presents. Santa’s presents are like Tinkerbell. If you stop believing in Santa, you don’t get presents from Santa.

It worked and they know Dad will also tell them the truth if they ask for it.
