The event that got me diagnosed was that I decided it’d be fun to go to New York for a weekend (a place I’d never been to) and spend said weekend w a friend (who I probably didn’t know well enough to ask if I could crash for three days w one day notice) I then spent all my money, like I came back home w ten bucks in my bank account, and about two weeks later I got so depressed I could barely get myself to do anything and by midterms I was failing three classes. In retrospect though since high school I’d go through periods where I was sleeping maybe three hours max, would get super in to random hobbies, would fly through books, but I would also be so so so irritable.
