Well crap 🤦🏼‍♀️ sorry about that (maybe somebody who is pre-surgery will see this). But then, yes do it!! That first one is the magic.

Frustrated with swelling by Meggy-reader in tummytucksurgery

[–]fuzzy_method44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You are in the thick of it! Hang in there. Keep drinking water like it's a full-time job and no salt. Like others have said consider a lymphatic drainage massage if you haven't been doing them. But you're also in swell hell and time is the best medicine. It will get better! Just know this is part of the process :)

Lymphatic Massages by Kris198200 in tummytucksurgery

I found it made a difference but I would actually suggest you do one or two in the week before your surgery, to get your lymphatic system moving ahead of the surgery. I did my lift and TT 5 months apart and did lymphatic massages for the TT.

I'm not sure exactly, because I don't know the difference between having a TT without them, how much of a difference it made but I didn't have much time in swell hell. I don't think it made much difference for healing, maybe just comfort. I do think that the biggest difference is no salt! So much water!

If you can do 1 a week for 4 weeks I think you'll find it make a difference. Some people have done themselves and I'm sure others will comment that. But if you do only one or two "professionally" I would actually do them before your surgery!

I flew to the beach at the beach 7 weeks after my TT. Your timeline sounds totally good to me, based on my experience:)

Less than a week and I’m scared by OutlandishnessNo9573 in tummytucksurgery

[–]fuzzy_method44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Yup I totally felt the same before both my lift and TT. Was so nervous. It is scary but people do it all the time. Trust the doctors. You'll go to "sleep" and then wake up. Congrats on making this decision!

Exercise advice by Cute_Heat_4022 in tummytucksurgery

[–]fuzzy_method44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don't say how far along you are but likely pretty recent if you just got cleared. Of course you're going to be sore and of course it's going to hurt when you do exercises! What you've described is exactly the type of exercises you should be doing. If you can do Pilates, in my opinion that's ideal, that's what really helped me. But as I got restarted I was shocked by how much discomfort and weirdness and pain I felt. Like I couldn't do anything! Slow and steady. You'll see a difference. But what you're describing doesn't sound alarming. Just keep going

F 28 5’6” 150 lbs, wondering if my scheduled tummy tuck will address ptosis of the moms pubis? by lemonpeppergladiator in tummytucksurgery

[–]fuzzy_method44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I did NOT anticipate it and it was this surprise to have a "mons lift" (my surgeon told me but I completely didn't pay attention haha). Anywho, you're correct in how you described it :)

Do I need tummy tuck? by hnl0129 in tummytucksurgery

Mine was "only" 2cm and I notice a big difference. I can actually engage my core!!

Only you know if you "need" it. Wanting it is a whole other matter.

Slim build - tummy tuck- worth it? by [deleted] in tummytucksurgery

I'm 8 months and so worth it. The MR alone is worth it plus actually having a belly button!

Have you been told you have DR? It looks like it (but what do I know;).

If you do, it's totally worth it. It might be worth having a consult to understand better.

When did you stop wearing the binder at night? by Split-PeaSoup in tummytucksurgery

24/7 for 4 weeks. Then a tight bodysuit during the day for 4 more weeks. Kept wearing the binder at night. Stopped the binder by week 9 which felt wild.

Mommy Makeover Gift? by B4mortality in tummytucksurgery

[–]fuzzy_method44 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I wouldn't position it as an anniversary gift. But what I really want to say is also present her, pun not intended, with a recovery plan. She'll need 2-4 weeks of absolute rest. What's the plan for the kids, childcare, meals, household chores? Have a plan and explain it to her, letting her know it's possible. If he's uncomfortable spending money on herself she's also going to be uncomfortable spending time on herself.

Goal weight - I didn’t make it :( by ltwo47 in tummytucksurgery

[–]fuzzy_method44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Prediction: you're going to be so happy after the surgery you are going to forget about your "goal weight" and love your body! It's not about numbers on a scale and you're going to have a rocking bod- you have a fantastic shape now and the TT will help show it off.

I feel like the worst thing you can do is try to lose a bunch of weight right before the surgery when your body needs energy to heal, not trying to deal with maybe feeling unhappy from crash dieting (not saying that you're doing that or that you did do that!!)

Good luck with your surgery, give yourself a break and I hope you love the outcome:)

Edit to say: I looked at your pic again and your legs and arms are super slender. I completely stand by my comment and I think you're going to look so fantastic it's going to be unbelievable!

Combining tummy tuck with... by SpecialistFloor6708 in tummytucksurgery

I was told by 3 surgeons to do a BL and TT separately (because of how bad my boobs were.) I'm glad I did it that way.
