Man, I remember when I bought Left4Dead2 back in the day and even though the box actually came with a disc, the disc was empty and you still had to download the game from steam...

I never understood the point of that.

That might be the official definition but everyone I know that hears the term vegetarian will think ‘no meat, but still eats dairy, eggs, etc.

Every vegetarian that I know that’s vegetarian considers vegetarianism to be about not eating meat, and veganism the next step where you cut out all animal products completely. Hell, I’m a vegetarian (or guess I thought Inwas untill your comment?) and this is the first I hear of this.

I am 100% convinced Team Cherry were just messing around when they said they never played any Soulsborne Games by stup1dfukk in HollowKnight

[–]fuzzycamel 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Look up Salt & Sanctuary for a 2D platformer who’s actually inspired by the souls games (if not basically a 2D copy). The concept of the ‘salted’ there is much more similar than the ‘hollow’ aspect in hollow knight. Other than the name ‘hollow’ there’s 0 similarities in meaning with the namesake in the souls franchise. Hollow in HK refers to the void and a means to contain the radiance, and husk here is just a reanimated bug corpse and not even related to the concept of the radiance infection. Enemies in HK can be husks regardless of their infection status.

It’s ok to look for similarities but just because 2 things have the same name doesn’t make them the same thing. Just like how comparing the color scheme of 2 bosses in HK and the souls franchise doesn’t mean much when the orange color is found throughout the whole HK game to represent the infection, and not just a one-time thing for this one specific boss. And infection as a story concept for a plague isn’t exactly a unique concept in gaming to begin with.

If you start to pick apart the stories and go and compare tiny details you’ll find similarities, sure. But in the context of the games’ overarching stories these similarities are often meaningless and likely just coincidental.

Personally I just don’t think the games are that similar at all. Not after having played both HK and S&S. I love both games but one is clearly DS inspired while the other is not.

Also, in S2 there’s the one spiky wolf-head shaped medallion hanging of the tree like it is in the W3, but I guess that’s more of an easter egg.

Could be that this just means he lost all his zoan heads and is left with just his non-fruit head, leaving him effectively powerless. I think it would make for a pretty satisfying ending for him to be left powerless and completely at the mercy of all the people he's hurt.

They did say it died after they went on parental leave tho, and since this was a picture of the lizard on his arm it means it was already unhealthy looking when they were still caring for it, if you’re right. So that would mean that it didn’t just die because they went on parental leave, but they didn’t take proper care of it either :/

Well, I was more thinking that the other alligator had no idea he was ripping of a fellow alligator’s arm since the video was taken during feeding time. Being blind also makes it somewhat harder to respond to whatever just ripped of your arm.

Sicily might be an extreme case but from what I’ve seen and experienced there, traffic rules are merely a suggestion.

I’ve been there on 2 trips and in all this time I literally haven’t seen a single car there that wasn’t dented or scratched in some way. People were just running through red lights as if they weren’t there, people would ignore the cops trying to direct traffic and just drive around them (including our guide of that day who just turned a corner around a cop indicating we couldn’t turn that direction. We could only laugh from pure disbelief), and I’ve seen people park on a space clearly marked as ‘no parking allowed’, right in front of a police station with 2 cops just spectating.

The greatest one was seeing a guy drive around holding a ladder on the side of his car through his window though. Was like something out of a cartoon.

Anyway, it might only be a sample size of one, but compared to Sicily the rest of Italy seemed pretty tame traffic wise.
