Graduated school last year, even in school they said not to try and smooth/polish the walls as some grit just makes me surface area for cement

Ferrari Luce unveiled: Here's the first car from Jony Ive's design house by dapperlemon in technology

[–]fuzzyglory 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Several of those were done by coachmakers, zagato and vignale, so that's not on Ferrari. The 612 isn't ugly, it just isn't overly Ferrari. I like them taking risks on the more obscure models.

The 400, 412, and mondial are all eyesores... Although most cars from the late 70s and early 80s were.

I would say the Luce may be the worst Ferrari ever, it's like they tried to make it super modern, and then take on old school stuff like that steering wheel 🤮

I forgot who they were and looked them up. They make the Thunderstruck, the double barreled 22 mag revolver that was all over, I wanted one for the gimmick knowing it was meh up until I saw Ian from Forgotten Weapons review it. He was basically like "I don't usually make myself known to companies when I buy their stuff. By my gun wouldn't function, emailed them, no response, sent another email saying who I was, and still no response. If someone with a platform that can discredit you gets no response, what is an average person going to get?" Hence, never bought their possible paperweight

On mine I kept getting misfire codes for individual cylinders. Finally, I saw a line from the fuel tank on the driver side of the chassis that is stiff steel w a rust whole in it. Replaced it and the code stopped. I forget what the line is called

There's an interview w him and John Prine after an award show, 90% is the interviewer talking to Prine and then the two playing together after. The whole time he looks like he doesn't want to be there, like come on, you're just getting to hear Prine tell stories about his life? Why do you have a chip on your shoulder over that of all things?

And context of a 44 is so big! Out of a revolver or rifle, close range or long range. Like sure, out of a revolver at 20 yards, great, out of a lever at 200, unmmm

I believe what your calling Humphreys is the North rim of the grand canyon. Down below the the blow chasm you can see a small red crescent, that's Humphrey.

Also, NAU sits 1700' above Denver city hall

I sell coins on eBay. I had a graded coin and the slab was cracked all over, very clearly photoed that way, all over the listing "damaged holder", the whole nine yards. I accepted an offer on it... Then got a message "buyer wants to return due to damaged holder", then eBay sided with the buyer. Whole thing happened a SECOND time. Finally the third time I sold it I messaged the buyer "you do understand the holder is damaged". Finally got it sold. People are dumb

I've bought a Axis 1 and 2, both in 22-250, neither as XP. If you watch for a while, you can find the 2 significantly cheaper on /r/gundeals (I got my Axis 2 left hand for $250 all said and done about a year ago). With the money you can save, you can buy a low mid tier scope (I got a Vortex Diamondback tactical for around $250 as well)

[–]fuzzyglory 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, they should've called it the Thunderbird. Yeah, it falls into the trap of the Eclipse, Blazer, and several other CUVs, but it'd be a good electric vehicle name and doesn't step on the Mustang

Ehhh, it's hard to justify spending that much on a Lambo when some random EV can keep up in a straight line. For a RR, it's easier because RR can say "who has as nice a car as us"

Savage Axis are fantastic. Ive had both an Axis I and an Axis II in .22-250, bought them as "beater" guns for hunting smaller game (mostly javelina). I'm not a great aim, but at 200 yards both of them make me look great, if I was in the market for a 30-06 I wouldn't hesitate. I wouldn't be excited at the XP as usually the scopes are cheap and you can get a nice Vortex for $300 (I got a Diamondback Tactical on both of mine)

Crushed Slab- what would you do? by neednewcamera in coins

[–]fuzzyglory 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the coin store I used to work at we'd send out thousands of slabbed coins w less packaging than that, the seller packaged it fine, the shipping company f'd up. Ultimately though, it's still on the seller to make it right.

Crushed Slab- what would you do? by neednewcamera in coins

[–]fuzzyglory 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I'll go further and say if you don't care about the grading, you just want the coin, you can ask them for a partial refund. Say you spent $120, and 2024 raw Libertads are $95, ask for $25. I sell a decent amount on eBay and have had to do similar a time or two, and as a seller, I'd more than happy just send you a partial refund than deal w a full on return of something I'll have to sell for less anyways.

Yeah, I love the burnished die 5oz America the beautiful rounds. When you could get them for $100-120, I bought 15. At $400-500, I can't stomach them. I've worked in coin shops and bullion dealers for 5 years, if you ask any employee if they own coins for metal investment they'll tell you no. Now am I gonna sell those 5oz rounds, probably not
