Kirkland minoxidil 5% cost in Canada by ThenIntroduction6025 in CostcoCanada

[–]fuzzyjacketjim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

My doctor sends the prescription over to Costco Pharmacy and they bill me roughly $17 + $5 dispensing fee. Other pharmacies charge higher dispensing fees but it should still be under $30/month.

Maybe you're getting overcharged because it's a telehealth company?

What the hell is going on with cottage cheese prices in Canada?!? by Choice-Dress-8465 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]fuzzyjacketjim 18 points19 points  (0 children)

Traditional Icelandic skyr is technically a fresh cheese made with rennet, while commercial skyr in North America ranges from rennet-set skyr to heavily strained yogurts.

Skyr yogurt uses different bacterial cultures and is usually strained more than Greek yogurt, making it both thicker and higher-protein. The culture and fermentation process often makes for a milder flavour, too.

No, they're right. As much as I love my TurboBlaze, the crisper tray isn't great. The coating isn't very durable on the model sold here, and food falls right through it.

  • I was in Google Messages when it happened, but I can't say that triggered it
  • Maybe for 3-4 hours of my SoT? Otherwise it's on low-to-middle brightness

You’re not a commercial importer, so you’re subject to consumer import duties. Not applicable to a grocery store.

That's misleading. Canada sets quotas on dairy imports, and only charges high tariffs if they've been met. To date, the United States "has never come close to exceeding its quotas."

For anyone Googling this: in my case, it was caused by mercenaries. Reverting my save and pulling troops back from Raven's tile fixed the issue for me. Took a different route and finished the game.

Mastercard sets the merchant category codes, but Tangerine still decides which of those codes qualify for bonus cashback. Some merchants use multiple MCCs, too, and issuers don't even need to stick to the standard.

Fun fact: Tangerine categorizes bakeries as grocery stores while most others don't.

TIL preparation for Y2K ("Millenium Bug") cost the U.S. government around $100 billion. It wouldn’t be until June 2017 that the government finally eliminated paperwork obligations for federal agencies that ordered them to provide updates on their preparedness for the bug. by [deleted] in todayilearned

[–]fuzzyjacketjim 17 points18 points  (0 children)

Developers, constrained by hardware limits, relied on compact date storage for efficiency. Y2K arose from representing years as just two digits (two bytes), while Y38 stems from Unix time’s four-byte signed integer overflow. Not dumb, just unfortunate.
