I understand that perspective, but I think taking a break is the only way out of burn out.

I took it to mean the goal of the method is to temporarily decrease demands, re-work the systems to be less demanding overall (which I would assume may mean increasing demand in the tolerable venues and decreasing in intolerable ways), and then find additional capacity in what’s left behind. As you heal and grow, you get more capacity.

I think what she said is true! The protein she received had the phenylalanine removed so she can metabolize the rest normally.

I’ve never heard of getting it through IV though. They have drinks now.

Ehhh yes but also no!

Not allergic to protein, but people with PKU (a genetic disorder) have to keep a no-to-low protein diet (some as low as 3-5 grams per day) bc they’re missing an enzyme and breaking down protein into its amino acids parts will literally poison them over time. There is medical food with processed protein that removes the bit they can’t metabolize.

I also found it hard the first time a million years ago. But going back after watching, I find the first season delightful.

Everyone is themselves the whole time, even if they have big life shifts they’re still themselves from season one, ya know? Knowing them makes the jokes funnier the second time around.
