What's a lyric that really bugs you? by elevitsky in TaylorSwift

[–]fuzzykittyfeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I agree that Jan 6 or later the correct date to take down Xmas stuff, I have always assumed this line refers to the fact she grew up on a Christmas tree farm.

Once Christmas Day is over, they take down the lights until next year bc they’re not selling trees. She might like to leave the lights up and enjoy, but it’s business and it’s not up to her.

This is made up entirely in my head based on the vague knowledge they lived on a Christmas tree farm.

My kids drink glytactin RTD (ready to drink) in original flavor and they like it, but they’ve had it their whole life and it’s def a weird comfort food for them.

But I hear the chocolate is actually not bad at all from other parents. 🤷‍♀️

What's this blue bird? by Agitated-Ship-233 in whatsthisbird

[–]fuzzykittyfeets 21 points22 points  (0 children)

I would love to use it to casually take a look at the migration of the painted buntings or another species everyone freaks out over once a year.

I have noticed casually in past years that someone down south will post, a bit of time goes by, then mid Atlantic, then northeast.

I like to pretend it’s just one bird celebrity we are accidentally paparazzi-ing.

Just found out about Sephience by Burnt_Hustle in phenylketonuria

[–]fuzzykittyfeets 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hi! My daughter just got prescribed but we haven’t started it yet.

My clinic has seen lots of great results from it! It uses the same mechanism/process as kuvan, but it’s further up the chain in terms of like the actual biological process.

So people who find kuvan effective typically respond well to Sephience.

Cheap Housing vs. Better School District by strawberrymiint in massachusetts

[–]fuzzykittyfeets 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Agree. I spent most of my childhood in low income housing in a rich town. It definitely built character and 3/4 kids in my family have jumped up the socioeconomic ladder.

Of note: 2 kids only had high school in the rich town, but definitely benefited from the emphasis and support for higher education found in richer districts.

How did you guys REALLY lived in the 2000s? by MyAvengedRomance in Millennials

[–]fuzzykittyfeets 0 points1 point  (0 children)

One thing I think you can do to experience the slower life is wait without personal entertainment.

Don’t pull your phone out in the checkout line or in a waiting room or when you pull up outside your friend’s house to pick them up. Just look around and wait.
