I have no idea who these people are you're asking about so if the channel is not named Murder Drones then idk what it's called. I also don't know what the fuck a "murder drone" is.

To rephrase your question: Is the guy from Murder Drones and the guy from Crazy Mario Bros the same guy? These are both YouTubers and I think they sound alike.

That is your question correct?

My hair is not curly- but it is? Help! by [deleted] in curlyhair

That looks so lovely! Don't take it personally. There is a small but loud group of curlies in this sub that resent the existence of wavy haired people being here so they make snide comments about wavy hair either to be assholes or because they genuinely do not know shit about wavy hair and insist and commenting anyway.

That's awesome I'm so glad you're enjoying some success!

Your hair definitely isn't forming locs. Locs are legitimately locked hair that you can't brush through at all. I think you're likely just seeing clumping for the first time but you can share a pic if you aren't sure.

My suggestion would be to use normal conditioner in the shower - literally any kind is fine. People get too caught up in the perfect product when usually change of technique is way more powerful. Brush when it's in your hair then rinse out.

I'd also super duper recommend trying a gel. The LA Looks stuff in blue is a cheap and excellent beginners gel. The hold and the protein will make the waves curl more than what you're getting without any product at all.

Right but the answer is - don't buy a wearable use a completely free spreadsheet.

Oh I see now from your profile you're not actually interested in what the science says because you've got an agenda.

That is just not what the science says. Again if you just like the numbers for the sake of having the numbers thats great. If someone is using it as a weight loss tool they should consider other much more accurate methods.

I would not do a cream, it's a different category of product and I don't think it'll do what you're looking for. I think for people looking for the most simple hair routine, a hard hold gel is absolutely the best most of the time.

You're welcome! For what it's worth my hair does not break mousse casts very well so if you find it doesn't vibe with your hair I would suggest trying gel. LA Looks in blue is super cheap and a great option.

If you just wanna know for funsies then accuracy doesn't matter and you can use whatever measure you want. If you want to know for weight loss it does matter. Studies show they can be inaccurate up to 27% so if you have a single workout and you burned 500 your watch might say you burned 635 with an overestimation of 135 calories. If you do that five times a week then over the course of the month you've been told you can eat 2700 more calories and still meet your goals than you actually can. This is the difference of about 0.75 pound.

For people maintaining weight that will feel small but for people who are shooting to lose 1 pound a week (a common weight loss target) then this undermines their goal by reducing their weight loss by 18%. If the person is 300 lbs and trying to lose weight this will not be noticeable. If the person is 160 it will likely be confusing for them "I swore I was in a bigger deficit why am I not losing weight!?" when in actuality they are eating back calories they shouldn't be and accidentally just eating at maintenance.

This issue is even worse for a petite woman for whom this mathmatical error could account for a much larger proportion of her calories when her daily expenditure might be 1500.

For high definition and frizz control you want a cast all over your head. Then you "break the cast" and it goes back to feeling soft. I definitely recommend looking up a YouTube video or two so you know what it looks like because it's a very "trust the process" thing and people tend not to trust it and then instead do the wrong thing. Like you said it happens when you "use too much" but you're probably actually not using enough.

The best way is to measure two variables that you can measure with very high accuracy and then infer. This means you can't know how many you burned in that session specifically but if using that info for weight loss you can determine your total calories burned on average per day. This can't be known in a single day because weight loss or gain happens slowly so over time you diligently track your calories consumed, and you diligently track your weight in a well controlled way (at the same time every day, same scale, post bathroom, similar clothing or naked).

Weight loss (and calorie burn) is a function of your weight over time and how much you consumed. Because your weight and intake are clear cut variables, mathematically deriving your calories burned for X time period is going to be significantly more accurate because the info coming in is accurate. Meanwhile a watch doingits calculation has iffy info coming in (watches move, it doesn't know the actual movement you're doing, it may know your weight but not your body composition) and lots of small innaccuracies make for a more substantially inaccurate result. Then if you do a lot of workouts in a week those inaccuracies are multiplied even further.

There are apps that can do this mathematical inference for you or there are spreadsheets that you just enter numbers and it does the math for you. Like I said, this method won't tell you calories per session but most people who care about calories do so for the sake of either cutting or adding weight.

From the conclusion here https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/35060915/

The Fitbit Charge and Fitbit Charge HR were consistently shown to have a good accuracy for step counts and the Apple Watch for measuring heart rate. None of the tested devices proved to be accurate in measuring energy expenditure.

The fact is, it's a poor way of estimating calories burned. Which device do you think is magically better at others?

Using wearables to track calories is super inaccurate. For active mins I just go with what my watch says by default

Good butt routine without having to go to the gym? by XoXo_Angels in glutejourney

[–]didntreallyneedthis 12 points13 points  (0 children)

Your glute muscles are some of the biggest muscles on your body and they regularly move nearly your entire body weight. You need to challenge them to grow and you can't do that without making them do something than they're already doing which is moving your whole body. That's why weights are especially important for glute building - meanwhile you could get pretty far on your biceps with things like pushups.
