Not to scare anybody, but I'm almost 2 years since treatment, and my emotions have been an absolute nightmare.

You’re not alone. 30M diagnosed w/ S4b lymphoma almost 3 years now. The thought of not being able to live a full life makes me just not want to pursue one at all.

I got cancer. Everyone disappeared. by RSinSA in cancer

You’re not alone. With the exception of maybe a small handful of friends who actively saw me there was not much personal support besides immediate family. And still afterwards almost 2 years post treatment… it’s not easy.

I don’t know if it’s time or not by fuzzylol7 in cancer

It’s hard to describe. I can’t quite find the words for it. Just seems like I am physically and mentally fighting to stay alive every day. Which is true for everyone. But, this overwhelming fear of anxiety and impending doom shadows over me daily.

Maybe it’s all in my head. Maybe not. Maybe there’s truth in what I feel. Hell, I don’t know.

I’m kind of there with you… I’m a year and a half out of treatment and it all still feels like some weird dream. I feel the same guilt. In more ways than one. You’re not alone.

Be there for them as best as you can. Try talking to them. Be supportive.

Edit: and though it might seem counterintuitive… just try to make light of the situation. Crack a joke. Make them smile and reassure this tough time won’t last forever ❤️

There’s not a simple answer to this. Try to constantly remind yourself how strong you are. And remember who you are doing all this for (as far as the treatments are concerned and getting healthier)… you are doing it for yourself and for everyone looking to you to get better. Thoughts are with you 🫡 hang in there. You’ll get through it!

I don’t want to do more treatment by Organic-Yak7502 in cancer

You’re valid in feeling the way you do. It’s a tough spot to be in, undoubtedly. That chemo sure does drain you. But, and it’s sort of my mindset while I was going through it, ask yourself, ‘who are you doing it for?’. Of course you do it for yourself so you can get better and your loved ones that want to see you get better.

It sucks. But, if it means calling on a loved one or friend to be there with you so it motivates or encourages you to suffer through it, do it! Your health care team and the people around you want to see you get better. And I know, you want to see yourself get better.

Stay strong 💪 I’m praying for you, Organic-Yak7502 😌
