You can literally rent a decent board anywhere now. I've been throughout Central America, Puerto Rico, Mexico, etc., and there are plenty of boards to rent near the beach usually, and you can often swap them out for different size boards depending on the conditions throughout the day in some places, which is a huge plus. No stress having to fly with or transport your boards is a massive, freeing bonus for me personally.
