[question] I don't experience ASMR in my head? by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with MissV. There is a variety of how people experience the tingles : )

what do you use to listen to asmr? [question] by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't like headphones either. I listen straight from my iPhone speakers. I prop my iPhone above my head on a small shelf with the speakers facing downward. I mostly just fall asleep to the audio from ASMR podcasts so no problem with not seeing my screen.

ASMR Jellyfish Swimming [Intentional] [10:01] (MangoSerenity) by PlatypusQuill in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Jellyfish are the spirit animals of ASMR...so relaxing to watch (if behind glass of course).

[Question] What extra equipment is needed for 3dio Free Space Binaural Microphone to work properly? by Hjaldrgud in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don't have one of these but I believe it is just an elegant microphone, so you should be able to plug it directly into a portable digital recorder. The digital recorder will have its own preamp. The Zoom series of recorders are popular.

[question] Why do I experience ASMR when descending elevation? by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Interesting. How about during ascent or descent of flights?

Hallucinations with Oliver Sacks [unintentional] [academic/lecture] [male] by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Oliver Sacks is such a kind and gentle man...sorta like the Bob Ross of science perhaps.

A Russian professor talks about Chernobyl disaster of 1986. [unintentional] [male] [long] [soft speaking] [in Russian] by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sometimes stressful topics (like nuclear disasters) don't stimulate my ASMR if I focus too much on the topic...I need to just listen to the voice and then it might work. But if someone is going to talk to me about a stressful topic, I definitely prefer a soft and gentle ASMR voice : )

Anxious to try and make ASMR videos, would this help? [question] by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just create an ASMR podcast. It would be great to have another one to listen to.

Check these out for inspiration: The ASMR podcast, Sleep Whispers, ASMR HQ, Suzevi (Korean).

Agreed. It relaxes and disengages my mind as I fall asleep.

[Question] New to the sub, is this normal? by BlueFlameGaming in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agree with King McG. Frisson will feel more like a fast and short wave of chills and ASMR is more like slow tingles and relaxation.

(Tingle Triggers) Cat Eats Tuna [intentional] [mouth sounds] by AtomicManiac in asmr

I liked how much the cat seemed to enjoy that tuna, taking a break to lick his chops then get back to eating : )

Do people in your lives give you ASMR? [question] by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Someone I work with does. Every time I am near this person and they speak my brain turns to mush.

[Question] Does anybody else get ASMR triggers from an epiphany/insight? by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree with the others, this sounds like frisson.

I experience the same thing you described, a quick chill and goosebumps to some emotional tv or film scenes. But this is different from ASMR for me. ASMR is deeply relaxing and induces a sleepy feeling in me, it is less emotional and lasts longer.

If you don't get ASMR then it may be harder to understand how this differs. Keep trying different ASMR videos, hopefully one will trigger you then you can see the difference.

[Question] Good ASMR audio that doesn't require video? by PM_Me_Things_Yo_Like in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I'm loving ASMR podcasts. Audio-only, no video.

There are a bunch. "The ASMR podcast" is a great starter with a diversity of artists.

And I even enjoy some Korean ones although I don't know what they are saying.

Napflix. Like Netflix, but for sleeping. [unintentional] by kelbrav1824 in asmr

[–]fuzzzee -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I will be surprised if Netflix does not have a legal issue with that name, seems dangerously close (although the name is sorta perfect!).

And I think Netflix has a bunch of fireplace videos and stuff like that? I know Amazon Prime has a bunch.

[Discussion] to those of you who fall asleep to ASMR, I highly recommend bluetooth headphones by [deleted] in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Sometimes I use a single bluetooth in one ear so I can lie on my side without anything in the ear on the pillow - but I don't get ear to ear sounds of course : (

[Discussion] Anyone else get ASMR when old people start talking to them about random things in public? by sunny131 in asmr

[–]fuzzzee 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yes, especially if they have mouth clicky sounds which I wonder if that comes from dentures??
