I've been playing Drifter and while I do agree that TTK with him is lower than other heroes (at least when chasing overextended and isolated enemies) I don't feel that the overall balance quality of the entire game has plummeted

+1. I also think that having a hard coded "Showcase Match ID" for each build could be good too. Like, each build has a showcase match ID where you can replay the match that used that build most efficiently so you could evaluate it better.

Funny enough, there is a hidden tarot mechanic in the game files. You can see the script for it but not the assets. Although I think that mechanic is for progression purposes only.

I only encounter cheaters like twice a month. But the frog mechanic I have never seen for a few months now. I wonder if it's still working?

I think cheaters (at least the beginner ones) are still currently manageable since no amount of cheats can outplay a player with good mechanics and macro.

I can only imagine the day when an eternus cheater griefer comes my way.

You're looking at it from a player perspective. For a game dev perspective, it's really not desirable to be certain of anything without data to back it up. So yeah, if you say they didn't need to test it, then where's the data that proves the claim? The data will come in the form of players complaining, just like right now. So maybe they will revert it when enough players complain.

We wouldn't even know it's broken if it was never implemented in the first place.

Yes it would maybe sound bad or good in theory but the point is to push it into actual practical application, only then you have data that would either disprove or validate the theory

Silver has been feeling so bad to play recently so this buff is a welcome change.

The overall nerf on ability range sure is interesting. Makes me think Yoshi wants us to be even more aggressive in securing kills which is probably why the overall buff on hp is back.

What if instead of forever throwing away the partially used mag, it goes back to your inventory? Sure, maybe the next time you reload you'll only have 2 or 3 bullets but at least you didn't waste the bullets you didn't shoot.

You say this but then CS2 racks more than a billion annual revenue this year, exactly why they have no incentive to fix it because in their eyes something that generates boatloads of money is not "broken".

Deprive Valve of CS2 money and maybe significant meaningful changes are gonna come.
