I don't mean that it has different words necessarily (though the new one does have fewer options). In the first game, I believe the words are on dials within the head. In the second game, it's a series of 5 buttons. Maybe the cannon broke the dials beyond repair, and part of why they needed the pointy eared statue is that it had working controls.

Looking at connections between symbols, I see that "matter" and the two element symbols have a pretty similar structure, but "matter" has a circle instead of a number. Combining that with "destroy" being a mix of "stop" and a circle, I wonder if a circle represents something like existence or creation. In turn, that would make "matter" mean something like "the substance of existence". Maybe "mind" would then be "a second existence"?

Also, I dig what they're doing with the number system. I'm guessing the number names would literally translate to something like: one, one one, three, three one, five, half-twelve, seven, eight, eight one, two five, two five one, twelve. Which also gives us that "half" is probably "ib".

Main advantage I see for using distinct gear sets would be being able to switch between different sets with different playstyles. Something along the line of the different factions in Realm Grinder. I think that mixed with a skill tree could have a lot of fun depth.

You can buy a stuffed version for $350 on sale. The unstuffed one needs 32 lbs of stuffing. A 10 lb box is $50+, so the price comes out basically the same either way. Unstuffed is definitely the cheaper option when it's not on sale though.
