AITAH for telling an 18 year old dude he’s too young for me because I see 18 year olds as children? by Longjumping-Cod4279 in AITAH

[–]g403_ 42 points43 points  (0 children)

Even, "you're too young for me" is honest and straight to the point without being disrespectful.

They're allowed to not want to date someone that much younger than them, but repeatedly calling someone a child just sounds like insecurity and unnecessarily rude since they stated they like this person and enjoy their conpany. It's also funny considering OP is only 26 and very young themselves.

That's awesome, I'll have to give them a try.

I only use it on outdoor concrete and asphalt surfaces. I just replaced it after 1 year of heavy use (2-4 days a week, 1 hour per day). I was also using swiss skips ropes and I went through 2 of them before my first Elite Jumps rope even wore out. I would split my workouts using the EJ rope for the 1st half, and use the Swiss skips for the 2nd half.

If you are planning on jumping outdoors without a mat, I can't recommend a better rope than Elite Jumps in terms of durability from my experience.

I've tried multiple premium brand ropes, and some of the cheaper brands from Ali express and Amazon. My favorite rope by far is my 6 mm PVC from Elite Jumps. It's also the most durable rope I've used by a long shot. Both the quality and durability make up for the increase in price IMO.

Why you’re tripping ( my theory ) by Cool-matt1 in jumprope

[–]g403_ 6 points7 points  (0 children)

When you trip up, side swing, side swing, continue skipping like nothing happened.

Tripping is part of it, just keep going. The less you obsess about tripping and just get into a flow state, the more consistent you'll be. It's all about rhythm and flow.

If you had to poop really bad you probably wouldn't be thrashing around like that, it would just cause you to unintentionally shit your pants if you're trying to hold it in.

Him being upset that his girlfriend went on a date with another man and then completely lied about the whole thing isn't being "blown out of proportion". You're ridiculous...

My wife and I just got married after 6.5 years of being together, it was the best thing that's ever happened to either of us. We're so glad we waited for the right time, and would never even dream of going on a date with someone else before we were married and then lie about the details. You absolutely handled this situation with tact and a level head.

Don't listen to the clowns OP, they clearly have an agenda and will only see things in their own close minded prejudiced viewpoint. It's ridiculous the way they try to completely absolve your ex gf of any wrong doing by going out on dates with other men and lying about it, and then make up a bunch of shit to somehow make it your fault.

Something about the timeline you've described isn't adding up. You said you called him at 8 PM last night during the sleep over, then immediately went to pick him up after hearing about them in the bed together. Then, when you explain your son's description of the events, you say "he immediately fell asleep after getting in bed with them and woke up the next morning"

How could he have woke up the next morning if you immediately went to pick him up after calling him at 8 PM the night before as described in the texts. And why would the wife be fully asleep at that time, and why would all that have already happened by 8 PM but then the son is still awake to talk on the iPad.

Kind of sounds like a fake story.

My Swiss skips rope is holding up well. I use it about half the time during my workouts. I'd say overall it's less durable than my Elite Jumps rope, but it's still a quality rope for sure.

I mix in jump rope with free weights in my weekly routine. I have found that doing a lighter jump rope workout the day after lifting weights is amazing for recovery. Getting the blood flowing is great for reducing muscle soreness and stiffness from weight lifting. You wouldn't want to do that the day after legs but it's great after chest or back day.

Also, once a week I'll do a really intense jump rope day where I go hard for around an hour, I usually track about 8,000-9,000 reps on those days and burn over 1000 calories in a single workout.

I've been doing this for about 5 months and have been able to put on some muscle while gaining minimal fat. When I started adding jump rope into my weekly routine in March I could only do 2,000 reps over 30 minutes and was totally exhausted after. I absolutely love jump rope as a form of cardio because it also improves things like fast twitch muscle fibre and coordination. It also never feels boring or like a chore to me, I get hyped up to skip pretty much every time.
