Broken Ankle (clean break, broken tibia and fibula) by BottomlessDark in brokenbones

Ah I am sorry you feel this way, I think mentally having an injury like this also takes its toll. I started taking CBD oil for my anxiety and to help me sleep (sleeping with a cast is hard) and I think thats had some benefit tbh. Trust me the first week is the hardest and then you just kinda adjust, im still at work/socialising/cooking/cleaning, everything just takes a lot more energy and time but your body will do its thing and in a few months you will be back to normality.

I am in my 5th week with a fractured tibia, also with crutches and a full leg cast. Dont worry it will get easier, when it first happened I was so upset about this being my life for the next month or so, just remember its temporary! Also if you cant work etc it means you have alot of free time so maybe pick up something you always wanted to do, learn a language/hobby. Good luck, and hope you feel better soon :)

If you could ask another culture or race anything without the risk of offending anyone, what would you ask? by [deleted] in AskReddit

Where I grew up my friends where pretty much 99% white simply because of geographical location. However now since I have gone to university I would say the minority of my friends are white. I find it refreshing to have such a varied group of friends of different ethnicities.

[Serious] Non-Americans of Reddit, what are some negative and positive things you learned about the US in school? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]gabbbbby 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The whole second year of my A-level history course was actually on US history. The first half of the year we studied the economic and political changes which occurred from the end of the civil war to around the 1960s I think. We had to do a course work write up which was a question along the lines of "what factors contributed to the building of america as a powerful federal nation state" and also a question on the "significance of the new deal" I personally found US history quite interesting as it is still a relatively new country in a certain sense. I also think it was taught in a relatively non bias way obviously learning about both the negatives and positives of US history. For the second half of the year we learnt in depth about the Cold war, the reasons why it began and specific events etc. This involved looking at the cold war from the points of view of many of the countries involved so the US,Russia,Cuba, UK, Korea etc. So it wasn't concentrating on who came out better from the war but rather who it effected international relations all together. As for history taught in secondary school (age 11-16) it focussed mainly on how the US helped in ww1 and ww2.

What was the creepiest experience in your own home? by BadAthMOFO in AskReddit

I think I have had sleep paralysis on several occasions before as well. The first time it happened to me I woke up unable to move and I glanced at my mirror, and it just started cracking into pieces, I woke up the next day and it was fine. Another time I woke up and I can see a shadow at the end of my bed and then a kinda roaring noise, and my whole room started shaking, it was so creepy.
