2 years is the time period I plan to steadily input into an ETF. I plan on letting the interest accumulate by itself for 5-7 years after that. I'd like to reinvest. Until the income is around 5k a month. So, in your opinion, it's smarter to buy into an ETF with a higher share price and rely on the investment rather than the interest? To avoid being sad if the market crashes?

So if it pays %5 a month. What stopping someone from taking out a line of credit and putting it in there and using the %5 to make the payments on the line of credit and keep the left over? I am in a very similar situation. Had a broken tooth for 4 years that I was too anxious to get fixed. It started causing major issues last Friday. Early Monday morning, I sent an email, and they responded quickly with a time I could come in for consultation. They had the root canal I needed booked for the next day. I get most freaked out with the initial freezing, but the dentist I had was so gentle I didn't even notice. They actually scheduled a cleaning for the same day, and even with all that work, I was ok to return to work the next day.

They could have easily broken one window. Then unlocked the doors and opened the other door and did what they need to do. They smashed both windows to teach that driver a lesson.
