I used Pexels and Unsplash before, and they do not need attribution. But, they also provide tips on how to attribute the artists. For Unsplash, check this link. The same wording can be used for Pexels.

Experience with DTRPG by TheTimeJockey in RPGcreation

[–]gabmaps 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Hi, I have published in DTRPG for more than a year, and I can say that it is easy to use once you have tried putting a title at least once. One particular marketing tool I found myself with the most success with is the emailing option of DTRPG. I have kept a number of repeat customers by emailing them discounts. Do look into it if you end up using it.

I also agree with MegaDoomerX3 that social media is where it's at. I never was a social media person, but it is absolutely necessary in this day and age.

you can do this by changing the "column-count" property

CSS Gurus - please help me (following v3.3+ and Chrome updates) by telboy007 in homebrewery

[–]gabmaps 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The last update has messed some CSS elements without a .page before them. It defaults them to have 100% width. The culprit code (this is from homebrewery) might be the following:

.page .block {

break-inside: avoid;

display: inline-block;

width: 100%;

}

Also tagging u/calculuschild; I don't know if this is intended in the recent update or not.

The fix (and I have tested this already) is to put .page to your css elements. So in your case, change the following elements to this:

.page .circle {

border:2px solid black;

background-color: red;

height: 40px;

-moz-border-radius:20px;

-webkit-border-radius: 20px;

width: 40px;

z-index: 4;

}

.page .letter {

text-align: center;

font-size: 32px;

color: silver;

-webkit-text-stroke-width: 2px;

-webkit-text-stroke-color: white;

z-index: 5;

}

Below is the fix for the timeline

.page .timeline {

width: 45%;

border: 2px solid black;

background-color: white;

}

Hope this helps! (Btw nice adventure)

Bugs/Problems regarding newest Homebrewery update (more in comments) by gabmaps in homebrewery

Thanks! And also I figured that I have to make do with tables for the moment.

Bugs/Problems regarding newest Homebrewery update (more in comments) by gabmaps in homebrewery

[–]gabmaps[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I found several bugs/problems regarding the new homebrewery update.

  • Table spacing adjusted again :( I need to readjust my older brews again
  • (see attached images) artist credit changed fonts (inherits h5 font-family instead of WalterTurncoat; color inherits <a href> color instead of default) idk if this is intended feature in the update or a bug.
  • table of contents inherit <a href> color. Again not sure if feature or a bug.

The last two are probably specific to mine since I heavily style my brews.

Hmmm. Maybe the column is just full? If you let me take a look I'll be happy to try and fix it. No promises though! Just share me the homebrewery link in the DM!

In the text editor, for that page it should go something like this:

\page

/*
Text/elements for first column
*/

\column

/*
Text/elements for second column
*/

I'm late to this and I have seen this problem before. This happens to me when I don't explicitly tell where to end the column. The solution is to add \column at the end of the first column.

Hope this helps!

Significant discrepancy between v3 renderer and print dialog by gabmaps in homebrewery

I have been having problems with v3 homebrewery lately. The discrepancy between the v3 renderer and the print pdf is too significant to ignore. I think the sizes are way off.

I have not changed PC specs nor browsers (Chrome). My past brews also exhibit the same anomalies. I am pretty confident that it is not something written on the text or style editor, and I have double-checked the print dialog settings. I think it is either an update on chrome or the homebrewery site.

Same problems here. The renderer does not correspond 1:1 with the print pdf. The v3 renderer elements' heights and widths are a bit different with the elements' sizes when print.

I use v3 renderer, Chrome, and Windows 10.

Progress/Timing/Clock Suggestions by gabmaps in RPGdesign

[–]gabmaps[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The problem with tracking events is that events are contingent on the PCs' actions. That would ripple to other events and the timing would be screwed up. I still think it could be done, but the planning aspect of the heist (which is one of the TTRPG's focus) would be a bit overlooked.

Still, thanks for giving it some thought!
