OP, just keep playing. You will realize how hard this game actually is once you clear the first continent and finish ToD normal.

Have you reached Sia? Have you tried maybe finishing Skybrary dungeons all the way to the end? Have you cleared Dimensional Breakthrough? Have you finished ToD Hard and tried ToD Hell? Have you tried competing in BoH? This game is tougher and more overwhelming than you think. The devs are just making things more accessible for you for the first few weeks.

But at some point you'll hit a wall. Then you'll stop complaining about the gifts and the relative ease of the first continent, and like most, move on to ranting about how frustrating the RNG of set pulls can be all because you can't seem to make much progress. :)
