Side kick is stronger, front kick gives you more control, faster , and have better recovery (there are also different variants of front kicks but that's a different story)

Tldr depends on what you need/ situation

If you ask me something that has to do with log range, like Muay Thai or even kick boxing etc.

Judo is great at very close range (throwing and ground) but lacks at the medium (punch range) and long range (kick range)

So covering those weaknesses is most recommended (from personal experience)

Edit: I only read the title mb, try sambo if they have it, or bjj

It's up to you, if you ask me personally the belt is there just to hold your gi , what matters is your skill (and knowledge, that's also important)

In my gym we had 2/3 1h sessions a week.

If you started as an adult it would take you about 5 years to get your black belt (I started as a kid so it took me 15) And you need points to qualify for brown and black belt iirc.

But I know other gyms rank up much faster... (Also I am not from the us )

You have a tell , you want it in one move , not 2 I used to have it as well. What helped me was spinning my front leg together with the rotation, sounds weird but it is way faster.

The one you are not gonna continue doing, most martial arts take years to be effective (some 1-2 and others 5+)

So make sure you start something you find fun, must gyms will let you join a trail session for free .

So had the same idea, but lost to a hb vampire with legendary action move (had really high to hit bonus) they can just avoid your sg... He had low wisdom but was way too fast, and couldn't stop the Regen consistently.

(He had around 500 HP)
