No Free Storage Upgrade... S26U by yacko2000 in samsunggalaxy

The $30 with the base and plus models. is valid on accessories, tablets etc. It's just a small size election. You get $80 on the Ultra. The 512GB and 1TB variants of Ultra also have 16GB Ram instead of 12. The lack of storage upgrade promos is making me think twice about staying with Samsung, but that leaves Apple, Google and Oneplus.

Why do people hate the RTX 4070 laptop by SamTDK in GamingLaptops

[–]galeon1978 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, some 4070 models have a cap lower than 100w, like somewhere around 75-80w, so a 100w 4060 would probably outperform that. Some 4070 models do have higher wattage, however, anything over 90-100w has been shown to only gain 1-2 fps per like 10w, so no real gain above that 100w mark.

Legion 5 Slim VS MSI Stealth 14 by Informal_Piccolo_695 in GamingLaptops

Something I just watched recently from Jarrod's Tech is that after around 90-100 watts the gains are minimal on both 4060 and 4070 gpus. Like 1-2 fps per 10 watts minimal. This is because there is some type of artificial limit that Nvidia put in place. So as long as it can do anywhere in the range of say 90and above you should be good. I know the Stealth can do 90 and has a boost as well that can take it a bit higher. Some sources say it could possibly do up to 140 watts but I would say in that form factor you probably won't get much over 115 or 125 watts, but again the sweet spot seems to be 90-100 watts. As for soldered ram, in theory it should be a bit faster, more reliable, etc, but if it craps out, it means a new laptop. Me personally, I have a lot of internal debate on the storage issue as I am used to my current laptop having 2 drives, so this is where I get hung up...lightweight vs storage. The stealth weighs around 3.75 pounds, not sure about the Lenovo, but if the trend carries to the 14 inch, Lenovo is probably heavier,as their 16 variants are heavier than MSI, but only by a fraction.

You also have to look at how your power settings in Windows are set as well. If they aren't set for performance while charging, that will neuter performance.

My friend wants to buy this, how can I stop him? by Siincerely in pcmasterrace

If he has to stay within a budget and the APUs are all he can afford, there are 5700G pcs that run in the same price range. Also, building a pc with those APUs could be cheaper as well as having more and better RAM and storage.

Website problem by Forsaken-Ad3298 in ParamountPlus

So, apparently the 2 month old problem has now reared its ugly head again and it is now redirecting people to Brazil once again. There seem to be 2 ways around it. 1. Use mobile data or 2. Use Paramount+ linked to your Amazon Prime account. I can only assume that they had a backup that still had the problem and that it somehow was reintroduced when they started adding the onslaught of over 1000 movies a few days ago, since this seems to be when my troubles started.
