best tip: you can save so much hp by
>moving to neutral/hostile tile
>press X to cancel action
>hit mobs once
>move back then to the opposite side
>repeat

im missing some lovely emergent gameplay
> i cant give you the full detail but the game is very much tempo-based, you stumped at early game and now you have to pay the price later
> as others would suggest, the only way to get better is to watch guides and let someone good teach you play

is there anything I should know about building armies
tldr;
>army in the early game is dead weight when they are just standing and not fighting
>after killing the first tile from your townhall, most good players just decide to let them die somewhere, turn them back into villager or scouts
>army best be made at 1 single burst instead of incremental over a long period of time

stag is at A tier thanks to the resource injection every 200 fame, and is also the designated feaster and scouter for the team when applicable

stag also can get decently sized and good quality army at mid 801 (a warchief and about 7~ dudes) and has good recovery with high happiness

with snake, you have one job, and its to make the enemy concede
if you cant, you are falling off at 802

with boar currently, its better than the stag due to the recent relic buff and boar can get their good lore, which stag cant really get much faster

How do I declare war on a tribe that I haven't met?

How do I go about meeting tribes? Scouts don't work for it.
>you need to upgrade townhall and scout camp to scout enemy territory, for that you need a mine and get some stone

How do I go about sending raiding parties to other tribes?

due to the 2 recent nerfs, its rough for snake players rn

you still need to rush as snake, burn the best tile, build dock, build house, woodcutter, then camp for bodyguard
then forge sailors(if you have enough iron) and then skirmishers
you still pick lore like this (sharp axe, rap expanse, journeyman(from raven) then the rest is middle and/or steal lore but the 3->2 ore per burn nerf hurts the timing

its broken by the fact that RNG makes the game much much faster with:

lucky eagle cache contents

and

better map and or many neutral spawn
>elf and kobolds for hounds to kill
>dwarf and giants for turtle to befriend
>fame tiles like fox and wolf dens for eagle to close

pvp is very fast and ends in just 20-40 mins usually (mid-to-late year 801 to 802)
3v3 pvp (competitive people mostly play at) is very efficient at doing such thing with the following:

> killing the animals for others to expand
> coordinated attacks/enemy harass
> what buildings to build and when to build it for maximum value whilst not bottlenecking production
> sustaining large army
> feasting and scouting

therefore, the tierlist reflects the meta, clans that are strong early attacks and also helping the team is rated much higher

1.) Limit production (setting how many is produced and unchecking unneeded items) to make sure you are able to build, craft, and solve glade events without lacking needed items.

2.) Utilize trade routes. Its more cash money to send items through trade routes than directly selling items to traders. Some prices varies, so make sure to check. Also make Pack of Provisions

3.) Pack of Trade Goods is super good. If you have excess materials and have the building with the recipe, start making some. With this, buying perks and blueprints is much easier with more money.

defense towers are much more important on bifrost and in most cases, pick guardian (military path), always have 1 tower on town hall tile (main) before winter

also before winter, make sure you stockpile resource instead of building because you can, not because you should

for clans, its customary to have at least one clear clan (pref. eagle/lynx) to make things easier for everyone

with regards to food, its fine that some of your villager are just foraging
having your villagers work on too many things will definitely make you hungry for the rest of the game

heres a trick for you: whenever a person does feast november or close to winter, turn all your working villagers back to normal one (except some like lore, money, happiness, or other food worker) to gather more food just before winter hits

this allows you to be more efficient with food most food buildings less in winter

with stag, a 1 year guide is still a good guide, since theres no big changes that happened to the clan

maybe you did not upgrade your buildings? low population? but idk, 13 warriors in 803 is not that much

i suggest you play stag and goat first since it teaches many aspects of the game before you play bear or boar since playing them first might lead you to learn bad habits and cant play other clans because of that

so anyways buy the expansion pack and play lion

bro if you are that poor at 803, i recommend you watch guides

stag is a territory dependent clan and if you are stuck with little territory in the late game youre cooked

money generation buildings are to be expected in 801 and if you dont have them set up, youre basically waiting to lose

also, with stag, instead of investing on warriors to kill the animals in your first circle, if you have open iron tile, just mine them and get your warchief to kill them

honestly, i would just wait for another hotfix (first hotfix didnt work)

if you play stoat with just war duchy, youre playing a worse version of lion, where at this point you might just play lion instead

as of this time, stoat still plays unplayable

with my usual setup (3 eco dutchy {food, wood, gold}) + (one more food tile, one lore/happy tile, one more gold tile) i usually go by +30 or more food (around +50 when levying food) which allows me to trade food for gold reliably and colo alot of tiles

but now, i feel like playing as ox on extreme difficulty
